Kermit is jokingly shot out of Gonzo's cannon. He does not return to the screen.
We'll miss ya, ol' pal.
But in reality, The Muppets. I love it. I love love love love love it. I was full of joy through out, and when
Rainbow Connection
began, shivers, chills, tears. Glorious.

Re: The Muppets
Utterly delightful. It's been a while since a film put such a big grin on my face. It is charming fun and has some genuinely hilarious moments. There is plenty to keep the kids enthralled and plenty of entertainment for the adults too. Loved all the cameos! My favourite part was the I'm A Muppet of a Man sequence.
This is the perfect film to let your inner child free and just get lost in the sheer exuberance of it. 9/10.

Re: The Muppets
Well, I was afraid to be disappointed... and I'm glad I am not :)
Thanks again, Beate (now I read you hated your Twitter feeds I don't know how I should feel exactly about it
)
I didn't have to dress as Fozzie as I finally was someone's +1... and it was my first time at the Empire! (true story). Yet I had my brown skirt, as a tribute to the funniest bear in the world.
First: as for the US screenings, this one was preceded by a Toy Story short. So.good. Pixar studios are real geniuses. I won't say more, you'll see it
Now: the film.
Loads of jokes, loads of laughters, everything follows on very quickly you don't have the time to get bored, there are clever character's references to their own scenes (and to the film), the humour is just perfect (I was truly surprised!). The musical scenes are great (thank you Bret McKenzie, you deserved your award!), the Muppets (the puppeteers!!) are amazing (ô, Beaker <3 ), chubby-cheeked Jason does not look that good in the movie but it doesn't matter I still love him
Actually, don't know if you saw that, but it's sooo funny: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JBZkn3sSUzI (not a spoiler, don't worry)
I'm glad there were NOT too many scenes with humans. In all the muppets movies there are human characters, but they're Muppet movies, they HAVE to be about the muppets. That was my biggest fear I think, and as much as I love Mister Segel, I was relieved. Actors/cameos were great too. A few of them are obviously most famous in the States, but it doesn't have much impact on the film if you don't know them (you will just not say 'ooooh' at this or that moment :) ).
Dave Grohl as Animal, so cool
It was clever to put the attention on a central cameo known by grown ups and children. Well done
Oh, and Chris Copper rapping, oh my god, that's gold.
Yes, I almost cried (ok I did a little bit but hid it). The film emphasizes very well the absence of the Muppets in our television/life, and the weight they had in people's lives. It spreads lots of feelings: nostalgia, happiness, etc. It also shows an ideal, a world of kindness and acceptance. A good way to introduce them to people and to remember fans about how amazing/funny/sarcastic they are. I am SO amazed by puppeteers, they deserve lots of applause, for their hard work, patience, talent (actors, singers, everything!). I had the same feelings as when I watch 'Being Elmo', but x10000000.
I could spend hours talking about each muppet but I prefer to wait a bit, when more people will have seen it... And I already said a lot of things, I think :)
I am going to write a testimonial for the Muppet Mindset and add a few lines about this movie to the article, so I'm really excited. I know it is crazy, but I don't mind! (http://themuppetmindset.blogspot.com/)
I'm a bit sad as my back is so friggin' painful I felt like I didn't enjoy the movie 100% (don't ask me why, I have no idea of what happened last night but I'm in pain) - YET I really really loved it.
Despite what some Muppets vets might say, I think it is a good tribute to Jim Henson's creation - even though it is a very personal script by Jason Segel (who obviously identified Walter, the new and sweet Muppet, to himself)
10/10 (as you probably guessed)

Re: The Muppets
saw this today at Empire Leicester Square, thought it was really good fun, and im usually not a fan of musical numbers in films but the way they made fun out of the songs themselves as well as the film just made them hilarious. really good fun film
