There seem to be quite a few FMUKers going, so I thought I'd start a thread for the film.

Re: Powder Room
Sheridan Smith did really well, but I didn't particularly care much for the film and thought the story was much better suited to being a play, which is what the script was adapted from.

It was shite and Sheridan Smith should be ashamed of herself for agreeing to star in this piece of crap.brettie wrote:Yea but..what was it like? I have seen SS live so she has a lot to live up to in film..
How this can be classed as a comedy is beyond me. I did not find it remotely funny.

Re: Powder Room
The organisers for this "premiere" couldn't organise a piss-up in a brewery, from the hassle in collecting the tickets to the missing red carpet. There was no drink or popcorn at the seats. It should have started at 6.30pm. It finally started around 7.30pm. Reason? Bloody Z celebs and cast and crew taking their sweet time and not being managed properly. Thankfully there were loads of FMUKers around to have a chat with. It's always great to see new faces. *waves at LondonCityNights*
Finally there was a short introduction and then the "Powder Room Girls" filed on stage. You couldn't see them of course as the lights were so dim.
And the film? Just painful. 86 minutes, each one feeling a year long, spent with some inane girls clubbing and congregating in the club toilet all the time. It was incredibly dire.
I had asked OH since 6pm whether he needed the loo. He always denied it. The minute the film started he told me he needed a pee. I should have taken it as a sign and just gathered our things and left altogether.
