Re: War Horse

I saw this last week and am shocked by all the positive reviews on here as I thought it was absolutely dreadful. It was far too long, the acting was terrible, and the story was so far fetched it was ridiculous. It was so boring and the horse saving the day over and over again just got tiresome. It ...

Re: The 100 Free Films in 2012 Club

As I'm abroad and won't be back for a while I think its only fair that I give up my beloved number 47 for 2012 :tears:

Re: Horrible Bosses

Really enjoyed this one, it was very stupid but funny, with some amusing dialogue. A bit crude at times and the language was a bit much, but enjoyed it a lot. 8/10

Re: Huge

Oh my god this was so poor. A totally unfunny, terribly acted non-story that should never had been made. A couple of blokes fail at a few open mic sessions, and err, that's it. Where was the story exactly? How the hell does something so lame as this make it to the big screen in the first place? I ...

I agree the bits with the animals weren't comfortable viewing at all. Otherwise it was pleasant enough way to spend a Sunday morning. 6/10

Re: Beginners

I hated this, it could have been a good flim given the subject matter, but I found it painfully dull and boring (and a little bit pretentious too). It seemed to go on forerever. 3/10 :snooze:

Re: Mother's Day

hmmm, saw this at a 60%ish full Shaftesbury Avenue Cineworld. I don't really see why people enjoy these type of films either, I was expecting more of a story but there was nothing to it - it was basically violence followed by more violence all the way through. 3/10.

Re: Senna

Saw this at a packed Brixton Ritzy. It was a gripping, revealing documentary (especially the footage of the drivers pre-race meetings, and the footage of a clearly worried Senna at Imola prior to the race). I'm not an F1 fan either but the time flew by and seeing it all from this perspective was ...

Re: Win Win

Thought this was a good film, if a little slow. I also thought it might turn into an indie blind side. For a while at the start I thought it was going to be more of the 'bland' side with the slow pace but it grew on me as it went on and kept my interest to the end. 7/10
