After the crushing disappointment of Star Trek Into Darkness this was just the summer blockbuster I needed. Really enjoyed it. Had a bit of a Tree of Life vibe at points, a really great take on the classic story as well as some brilliant sci-fi action. Yet again, the 3D was completely pointless ...

Hated it. The film just kept doing things that infuriated me. What was the point of all the shifting captains and first officers at the start only to get back to the status quo ten minutes later? ^^ Vue Hamilton are showing it at 19:30 on Tuesday night. Never seen it before so I may try to get along to it!

This is going to be the next Sky screening. Hoping there will be a Glasgow showing, I'm a huge Robert Zemeckis fan!

It was good fun, but I must be the only person in the world still annoyed about Ed Norton getting shafted!

Ruffalo was good, though!

I saw this weeks ago but I still find myself thinking about it regularly. That tells me more than anything that it must have done something right.

I'm really interested to see the stage version of it now!
