Would you b*y tickets for a concert but not know who will appear or where you will sit? I saw the man on tv earlier saying he had b*ght £11 000 of tickets. I could think of other things to spend that amount of money on!!!!....... a new car or a good holiday. Oh well, to each their own!
You are not alone I don't care one bit about the Olympics apart from the hassle it will be to get to work.

as for your concert comment, I have one or two words to say Glastonbury and V ;)

It's quite upsetting for us as we applied on my behalf of my grandfather but he passed away last month so now he will not get the chance to use them.
Ah so sorry for you all but hey, y'all go there on his behalf, smuggle a drink in and raise a glass in his honour :bighug:

I am sure my grandmother will still go, but sadly they are senior citizen tickets so I can't use them.

Oh I didn't know they were doing senior price tickets! Maybe you can contact the ticketing office and explain the situation. I am sure they would understand and let you upgrade to a standard ticket, no?
Hmm.... Do you think they might have had a certain "allocation" for senior ticket applications...

There is only 1 spare ticket so I will let my grandmother decide who she wants to go with.

I don't know if they had an allocation for senior citizen tickets, but when we were applying, the senior citizen discount was not offered for all events (ie only the less popular ones).

Thought I didn't get anything but just checked my account and £156 has been deducted. Thought I had a fraud situation going on until I googled it, now I'm like yipee!

Not sure what it is for though, just got to wait and see. Might be worth checking your bank accounts again as my money was deducted on the 10th June, which I think was the last day.

funthing29, so sorry to hear about your grandfather.

Yes funthing I am also sorry to hear of your loss.
We did not get allocated any tickets and we are disappointed. But I may win some as I imagine there will be comps in the coming months.
