Re: London 2012 Olympics
I got that email too, I think they must have sent it out to everyone on Friday.
I think they said on the news 2/3 people who applied didn't get any tickets. I don't think I am going to apply for anything next Friday, given there's no more tickets for diving, track and field, swimming. I wanted tennis as well, but I think that might be all sold out too

Re: London 2012 Olympics
All the popular events have sold out so what's left is the tickets that no one wanted the first time around.
superhero, indeed, tickets for the tennis have all gone.

Re: London 2012 Olympics
As if there is any way i'm going to get up to b*y tickets at 6am for events that people didn't want in the first bloody place. Cracka, please.
102 Different free films seen in 2010 plus 2 repeat viewings and a few tv show screenings... not too shabby. Thanks to everyone for their contributions here.

I am not getting up that early either. Am gutted that we received no tickets at all. I know lots of people who applied and received no tickets but all had received the second chance email.soonforgotten wrote:As if there is any way i'm going to get up to b*y tickets at 6am for events that people didn't want in the first bloody place. Re: London 2012 Olympics
it's not so much being up at 6am that really bothers me (as I am usually up between 5 and 5.30am), it's just the idea of yet another site crashing at the time of the release

Re: London 2012 Olympics
I think thats why they are starting at 6:00am hoping there will be less people and hence less likely to crash.
Personally I am going to wait closer to the time, you never know, all those corporate holds for swimming, diving, track and field might mean there are some ticket releases closer to the time.
I am surprised even all the first round tickets for tennis are sold out? Is it that popular?

Re: London 2012 Olympics
I can't remember how much the tickets for tennis were but they may have been cheaper than standard Wimbledon prices so would be great value for people who normally can't afford the cost of a Wimbledon ticket.
