I believe it wasn't him, they used someone else's body and put his head on it (like some of Black Swan's dancing), but if you don't mean it was him and was just strange to see him so small even though it wasn't really him - then yes, pretty strange indeed. I am not making any sense, am I

Earlier in the thread there was an article posted about this:
http://marvel.com/news/story/16210/capt ... er_soldier
“The first thing we tried was to transplant a muscly guy’s head onto a skinny guy’s head," Townsend said. “And our next challenge was to see if we could take the muscly guy and slim him down and make him look like that skinny guy; we scaled him down, thinned him out, and made him look as skinny as possible. That proved we could use Chris Evans’ actual performance, and that’s what we wanted to capture in everything we did.”
Which sounds to me like it was actually him?

However they did it, the effect is astounding, very convincing from what I can see from the trailers.
I just realised that this film comes out just 1 day after the sky preview. I am contemplating watching this on Friday with my friend instead. I know I have to p*y but my regular cinema buddy desperately wants to see this too but cant make it to the preview. Plus I get to see it in lovely bright tooodeeee...decisions, perhaps I'll just see it twice in both formats!
Great reviews emerging already. Though it seems to be complemented with some negative reviews too on Rottentomatoes. So this maybe a love it or "meh" type of film. I think I am going to love it.

I have high hopes for this as well. Have a soft spot for the Rocketeer which Joe Johnston directed back in 1990. Hope this one is of a simliar vein.

Ah I was mistaken then, my apologies, as Mr Glass said - whatever the way the shot it - the result is very convincing!
