I think SH means the 2 screenings that were held at Odeon Leicester Square.

Oh right, I can't remember even hearing about them happening. If they were press multi media screenings then its unlikely, but who knows? As I had Thor tickets anyway I didn't really take any notice

Yes for Thor, I went to that. But I didn't see any Hangover 2 invites.

Hi Guys,

Has anyone got this so called "VIP membership for SFF"? do you think it will be worth p*ying £12.50/£17.99 a year? how many free films do you actually think you will receive???

Hi,

I signed up to the SFF VIP Membership Scheme as hadn't come accross FMUK at that time! I joined back in March and have received 2 e-mails so far, one for a film that I'd already got tickets for after the code was posted on MSE; and recently an e-mail for Rise of the Planet of the Apes - which i'd already got tickets for through the Sunday Mail!

At least for now, it hasn't been worth the £12.50.

I signed up too just to see what it was all about. Glad you've found this place which is so much better. I should point out that you should check your membership reguarly as SFF has a habit of cancelling it randomly, £12.50 or not

My friend sign up to this when it came out.

He does sometimes get sent tickets for previews which he doesn't apply for but like others say, it is often for previews that still have tickets. He does get some early alerts but not as often as he thought he would. These are the codes that will have VIP on the tickets. However when he doesn't go online often then there is no advantage really as the code is release hours after. He only goes online at lunchtime. So it is probably better to just check for free on sites like these.

The big pro for signing up that I can see was be sent tickets for Batman live which he kindly give me the tickets. Four tickets at £45 so totally covering the year charge.

However he has been deleted twice from SFF system so it doesn't matter if you p*y or not. The cull happens to everyone.

So is it worth the fee?

Preference of cinemas:- 1. Glasgow Renfield Street Cineworld, 2. Glasgow Showcase, 3. Braehead Odeon, 4. Vue Fort, 5 Glasgow Springfield Quay, 5. any other cinema in Glasgow area including Hamilton
Also Falkirk, Dunfermline and Stirling but these are rarely used for free previews.
