A Christmas Carol

#1 Post by phunkygal » Sat Sep 26, 2009 5:50 pm

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1067106/

Starring Jim Carrey as Scrooge and as the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future, together with Gary Oldman, Colin Firth, Robin Wright Penn and Bob Hoskins, and produced and directed by Academy Award winner Bob Zemeckis (Back to the Future, Forrest Gump, Polar Express), this spectacular 3D motion capture movie will bring to life Charles Dickens' classic Christmas tale as he truly imagined it and take audiences on an amazing journey from a snow covered London.

There should be lots of premiere comps for this as its in 3 leicester square cinemas simultaneously!

And if anyones interested in 8O b*ying 8O tickets-

I saw this 3D trailer in an IMAX in America - it was fantastic - I'll certainly be going to see this somewhere, but I won't be p*ying the prices phunkygal has posted above! 8O

Gosh CCTV coverage, thats like hey you've got a ticket for a world premiere, but you will be so far away from all the stars, we will show it to you on CCTV...They might as well watch it on sky news! At least you won't have to sit in the cinema and wait ages before the film starts, as usual with premieres...

£8 for a ticket hurts my bank balance - £50!!!! What do they think this is?!!! We are JUST coming out the recession, still got a long way too go! Not p*ying that much to watch it! :nono:

Well its actually quite cheap for a "premiere", the going rate a few years ago I think is over £100 normally....but the point with this premiere is I really don't think you will see much, apart from the film!
