The first was The Man Who Folded Himself. I initally gave it 3/5 for its inventiveness but I did not enjoy reading it...strange rating for a book I didnt enjoy, I'm inclined to change it to 2/5. The problem with the book is its obsession with sex (all kinds). It flipping dominated the book but time travel complexities were very clever hence the high marks.
Now I have read the first 13 chapters of the groups next book read of the month, Up the Line. And thats as far as I will go. Again, there is an obsession with sex that dominates the book. Sex is fine in books, but for Christ sake I dont want to bloody read it on every page, especially when I am expecting a time travel adventure story. One other problem is these books are written in the 60s when political correctness did not exist. I dont mind that actually but this book is pretty heavy on being unpc and is very distracting. And lastly, the protagonists are very unlikeable.
