Saw this at wandsworth yesterday and enjoyed it soo much more than kill list
Real gripping and an intense storyline 8/10

Saw this last night at Liverpool 1, very suprisingly the screening was only around half full, was expecting a much busier turnout. I enjoyed this film but like others have said earlier, found some parts to be a bit slow. Zoe Saldana is so like Thandie Newton, it was bugging me to think what films i had actually seen her in previously. Also found some of the storyline slightly hard to believe, how easy was the whole photo scenario? She was an experienced assassin after all. The girl playing the younger Cataleya was very good and I thought that the earlier scenes shot in Columbia were very well done and full of suspense. Also loved the action scenes at the house of the guy who kept the sharks. Came out of the cinema thinking that I would quite like to go to assassin school.

Seen this in Cardiff last night. Reasonably full.
mmmmm. Did enjoy but.... for an intelligent assasin she was a bit dim. [spoiler]Of course the 'family' were going to be targets[/spoiler]!! Character was a sort of cross with Jason and Lara Croft I thought. Also felt BF was not needed for the plot. Probably there to make her more likeable/human.
Great acting by the young girl I thought. Enjoyed the cinematography, fantastic views etc.

Yes, I could do with a few weeks in assassin school too....... then I could....... oh dear, back to reality and how I would be caught trying to hide. Not easy with this bod at the moment!! But the idea. weeeeelllll

I did my first free film double-header on Thurs. Rock n roll. The timings worked out perfectly. First Colombiana in Odeon Covent Garden then troddling off to Clapham Picturehouse for a late showing of Troll Hunter, courtesy of Slackers Club.

Colombiana was entertaining, great fare even though it was nothing original and the story had more holes than a sieve!! I thought there could have been a slot in the film to show how she trains to become a super-assassin. We understand the motivation all right but a pseudo-Karate-Kid "wax-on, wax-off" segment would have helped. I loved the puke blooper too, as some of you have pointed out :)

A formulaic action flick that has some decent fight scenes but fails to engage the audience. Saldana does quite well in playing the cold, distant assassin struggling to connect with her family and boyfriend. But I never really sympathised with her; her parents were murdered which traumatised her and she is driven for a desire for a revenge but this obsession is not explored enough. This narrow minded nature of the film meant there was no character development and the final act, when she realises the consequences of her actions, feels mismatched with the tone of the rest of the film.

A large part of the film is far fetched including the escapes and elaborately planned assassinations. As a result of this, I found it hard to take the film seriously and my mind switched off. It ended up as mindless entertainment in what is essentially a middle of the road film. Easy viewing but there is not much substance to this and skates by off some good action sequences. 6/10.

I think I agree with you funthing. It started off quite promising and then it just became so unbelievable, I got bored. It was so unoriginal. Thought I was watching Thandie Newton too. Could have been much more, but it just did not go anywhere for me. 5/10

Totally agree with funthing and prettyxcool...it could ahve been a good movie and the storyline seemed to start of well but it didn’t deliver at all for me. So unrealistic and boring- 4/10

Completely agree with all the above, also loved how in the roof scenes where she was escaping, you could so easily tell that they used a body double! That and the vomit scene just stood out so much for me, also I thought the casting was very weak, Zoe was solid but the script was terrible!!

Saw this in Birmingham. Quite enjoyed it but thought she was not really believable as assassin. 7/10

I'd agree with the comments already made about the weak script, unbelievable storyline and the mismatched ending. I ended up leaving the cinema angry at her bloody mindedness. Too much like Lara Croft game in the final battle scenes.

Well i was rather disappointed with this movie after looking forward to it all week, the main character for me was a rip off of many characters in many film Lara Croft, Jason Bourne, and Lisbeth Salander and not forgetting catwoman seriously at various parts of the movie i was thinking about all the four i mentioned there it could have been so much better, and what was with the toothbrush thing in the fight seen i do believe i actualy said out load ffs she's not going to kill him with that lol i got the feeling the makers of this movie thought they could just take parts of characters from all their favourite films and mash them into one, i would like to have seen a more detailed story of the Lady Assassin ya know like we were never really sure if she actually loved her boyfriend or not and while i am on the subject of the boyfriend how did those two meet what connection did they have with each other apart from sexual there was zero intimacy displayed between the two so much so that i was really surprised she called him later in the film in part i had actually forgotten about him. Now swiftly moving on because to be frank i could babble all night about the holes in the characters lets start on Mr CIA and Mr FBI, what on earth was going on seriously she attempts murder on Mr CIA and threatens the life of not only Mr FBI also his precious family yet it seemed they had no real interest in finding this woman it was like at the well hey ho that's that!! probably thee lamest FBI and CIA agents in any movie ever before (in truth i will probably later come up with one or two marginally more lame) but it will take a bit of racking my brain tbh ....... having said all iv'e said it as a nice enough film but definately a one watch movie for me 4/10
