If you go for the day seats, I can highly recommend the two seats at the end of row BB on the left (mine was BB26). No-one in front, tons of legroom plus actors rushing past to go up the stairs to the stage every so often! Plus you get showered with confetti, dollar bills and have a "Save the Strip" flyer thrust in your hands. They are very fun seats...Yeah I can only do specific dates next month as she is visiting from the Netherlands
I know they have day seats for £25 each which I assume is that, but those first two rows are very close to the stage and you have to look up. I was sitting third row last week and that was great, but not sure if I want to risk being closer... They might include the third row too though (as the first three rows all have the odd numbering of AA, BB, CC) so I'll have to ask them, thanks

I did ask my friend, but he was pretty settled there as well. It was very thoughtful of you though and it was nice to see you at one of your rare appearances in the flesh. At least you didn't call me Dad!a_person wrote:Cliveas could have sat there and I went looking for him in the break to come down but he preferred his leg space!

I am on the Showpairs mailing list and they send out 241 vouchers. They have been quiet recently but every now and again there is a flurry of vouchers arriving.canadian_turtle wrote:Thanks so much for the info - Showpairs looks particularly interesting, I'll be crossing my fingers that they add WWRY and RoA to itdovetail wrote:Hi Canadian-Turtle and Platini,
Try theatre monkey's website for a start.

Or show pairs if you have access to this at work?
http://www.showpairs.co.uk/offers.html
Also, when I was leaving Rock of Ages, they were handing out cards thanking people for being one of the first to attend the show - the card also offered half price ticket for performances between 29.9.11 to 28.10.11 excluding Saturdays valid with a full p*ying guest. Did you get one? It's not "b*y one get one free", but better than nothing.
Good luck!
I too have that card from RoA, but that would still mean that 2 tickets would total to £90 and I can't really afford more more than £35 per ticket (and 2-for-1 would mean they're only £30 each).
I would also look at http://www.lovetheatre.com/2for1/ticket_offers It includes WWRY.

Don't apologise to me, the more people posting these things the better. While I did post details of the LAMDA season at the Lyric you might want to apologise to jeancomp though, as she was the one that posted the details of the previous season at Linbury.raj101 wrote:Stealing Cliveas's thunder (sorry Clive) here but there are autumn productions listed for LAMBA at Linbury too

Ohh thanks! I was sitting in the seat behind that, CC 19, and I loved how we got the glitter/actors/save the strip posters and dollar billsdovetail wrote:If you go for the day seats, I can highly recommend the two seats at the end of row BB on the left (mine was BB26). As for Showpairs, I was reading about it more and it seems to be for companies? Does it require a certain amount of tickets booked? And those 2-for-1 vouchers are those only for the show listed on their website (there's not that many of them)? Thanks!

Re: Free Theatre/Concert Tickets Discussion Thread
Went to see Rock of Ages last week thanks to the kindness of Ejwrank and a_person.
Didn't know what to expect and not usually a musical fan but boy the music rocked. I have never thought of myself as a rocker but was really surprised by how many tunes I recognised. During the 80's I was more of a new romantic.
Yes, it was cheesey, cliched and corney but the cast had an energy to them to lift the show. Even Shane Ward was good in it and I'm no fan of him too.
I would even consider p*ying to see this again.
Go see the show.
