Oh no, the movie will be completely different there's no way to compare the two. Besides it's really the UK cast that makes it for me it'll be weird to see other people play the (rewritten) characters

ah sweetie, look on the net, and see some of the vids that are around. Not too many from the actual show but some from the performances in Trafalgar Square and HMV.

This is about the movie not the theatre show, I am fairly certain we increased the theatre discussion thread by many many many pages on the subject!

where are Regina, Hertz and Franz?? They better not be leaving out that entire storyline! Also sad to not see Waitress Number 1,they've probably given her a "proper" name in the film.

If there is a controversial part of the storyline that Hollywood was likely to baulk at I would think it would be the two German characters. One very camp (which is a huge shame - I'm not usually a fan of camp humour, but Franz is very funny) and the other referred to as a fascist. I believe the new Catherina Zeta-Jones character is going to be the villain of the movie replacing Hertz as the driving force behind the redevelopment.

This makes me very sad

Its only based on so no Germans, no Regina. Clever how they keep TC until the end. I have to say, he does look fit and a lot younger than MI4

Will Ferrell and Steve Carrell were considered to play Dennis Dupree.

Taylor Swift was considered to play Sherrie, but Julianne Hough wast cast.

Anne Hathaway and Amy Adams were offered the role of Constance, but both declined due to scheduling conflicts. Hathaway was busy shooting The Dark Knight Rises and Adams was shooting Man of Steel.

Gwyneth Paltrow and Olivia Wilde were considered for the role of Constance Sack before Malin Akerman was cast.
