Well just watched David Beckham on the news saying he is staying in La. Have to say he came across very well. Lets hope they let him have time off if he is selected for the England Squad.!!

too old to play to win though, and has been for a long time. still hunky enough to sway the chicks though lol.

I'd like England to win something this summer, but to do that we need the top player of todays not the best players of the last decade.

lol he already suprised me by wanting to play. the man needs a reality check, pending for years.

his looks would get him into Hollywood, dont see why he doesnt up and become an actor now, I guess the merchandise spin is too lucrative to hang up just yet.


edit - for sentimental purposes perhaps he could go as a sub, but putting an oldie in the squad when he will be facing eleven superfit twentysomethings gunning past him is just asking to get kicked out of the tournie at the group stages. Obviously England will never win it, we are waaay to shite, but we might just might scrape third place if we are at our absolute best and that means medals for england for once for the first time since 1997 - yeey.. - and possibly free beckham medals in our breakfast cereal packs like in 1998.... :cross:
