Did anyone else get the ridiculously long email from SFF providing "materials to share" and asking for blogs etc that mention it?! They must be getting some really bad feedback...

I don't think it's about bad feedback I think they are trying to encourage word-of-mouth advertising, the whole reason for free previews, the more they can show the film people that SFF previews do work for spreading the word the more free previews we get!

About the cinema people who tell you a screening is full - they might have counted the printouts they got against the seats the screen has and not realised that often enough people go on their own with a ticket for two!

or maybe count all sheets as two even if they have 'admit one' printed on them, they usually only keep one pile of prints.

I am fed up with the way SFF overlook regular viewers who have demonstrated an interest and even provide feedback, yet never receive codes. I know we know that they rarely send them out to most of us, but why? Several times I have tipped off a colleague about a code and she has been able to get tickets but last time I mentioned one to her, she said she had now registered with SFF herself and that they had sent her a code! For one thing I was annoyed that she hadn't had the courtesy to return the favour by passing it to me, in case I hadn't known of it, but for another, why deliberately shun long-term members? I can only assume that films are aimed at particular audiences and that if you don't fit the profile, you won't get the code, but you only have to go to one preview to see that it's impossible to categorise most audiences easily.

I saw this last night, a brilliant film which must be supported as it is UK made too. If you liked gran torino, you will like this film.

Well I loved Gran Torino but didn't particularly like this film so that would be a generalisation worthy of the Cineworld magazine's "See if if you liked" feature.
