All of these negative comments are worrying me now. Not because i had plans to see it or something but i got two tickets for a friend of mine and his girlfriend in Aberdeen. Was expecting him to enjoy it (or atleast get a BJ out of it), now i'm nervously awaiting his angry text message cursing me

The only redeeming thing about the evening was chatting with hdaniel beforehand. Very glad to see her so we could moan together afterwards!
Couldn't agree more, our natter was better than the entire movie !

I was very excited to see this film. As an American who married and Englishman and now lives in the UK, I thought it was nice to see visa issues being portrayed realistically in a film (rather than "Hey, let's get married and live together!" and then it happens just like that), but I was disappointed in this one. I liked bits of it, and I cried at parts because I related so well to the distance between them and whenever they had to say goodbye(particularly the Heathrow scene). I was still giving it a chance up until the end.
I felt it ended way too abruptly without tying things up how I would have liked. I think anyone who loves someone else enough to try to make a long distance relationship work wouldn't have given up quite as easily as these two did on a couple of occasions. The stopping and starting of the relationship was very odd to me, but maybe I'm just a hopeless romantic.
They skipped through time quite a bit without giving the audience much of an idea how much time had passed. It was also hard to feel sorry for them when she just decided to overstay her visa because she was too sad to leave. I felt like we were supposed to feel sorry for them, but I just kept thinking what a stupid decision that was in the first place. I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it. 5/10

Rant: I fail to see how/why we were supposed to feel sorry for them. They brought all their problems on themselves and her parents should've been assertive with her. Even after the visa problem, they still didn't really try that hard to sort out their issues in order to make things work (away from "oh yeah, let's get married"). They just seemed to be a couple of spoiled kids playing at being grown ups

It's a shame that the main premise of the film was flawed, because once I put all their nonsensical actions to one side, the rest of the film was quite enjoyable and identifiable.

Watched this at a 90% full Cheshire Oaks this evening.
We all thought it was very slow & boring.
Few people left before the end & overheard others on the way out saying how bad it was.
A very deserving 1/10

Gosh I am shocked at all the negativity.

I still think I will give this a shot though.

Honestly funthing29, if you have some paint drying somewhere watch that instead. The skin forming on the surface will have more structure and depth than this truely awful film. 1/10

Wish I had the guts to wake up OH and walk out.

What an appalling film. Utter shit. Actually makes Haywire look good! (And that is really saying something!)
Not only did I drive across to Glasgow (and beyond!) to see this but I invited someone to drive just as far to meet me to see it. How embarrassing.
No substance to the film. No proper ending - although I could care less what the outcome was. Weak characters with zero likeability. Complete yawn-fest. I pity anyone left awake during this nonsense.
