My parents are going to Rome next week, should they b*y tickets for the Vatican before they go?

I would recommend it yeah if they want to go to the museums and the Sistine chapel. I booked mine from here http://biglietteriamusei.vatican.va/musei/tickets/do

There was another queue in St Peters Square for the actual church, not sure if you can b*y tickets for that in advance but the queue is massive. I didnt do that one.

But if you are already in the Vatican you don't need to queue up to go to St Paul's. After you finish the Sistene Chapel there are two exits go to the right and you end up in St Paul's. Also we had a tour guide who was very informative. But definitely order your tickets beforehand to skip the queues.

More like if you want to climb! lots and lots of stairs on the way up and down! Quite challenging And the queue isn't long as not everyone is physically able to do it! I think they have a warning sign how many steps you have to take, it's where you p*y for the tickets... I felt I was not up to it but it was too late! Once you start going up it's no way back! Well, not the obvious one, anyway...

Have those with questions checked Tripadvisor to see if there is any helpful info there? Sorry, Beate and c_t, I can't help with Paris hotels (though would have thought a couple of members here might be able to) or Iceland, but if Tripadvisor doesn't have the info you need, it does have forums where you can ask.

I'm not sure that too many people will have been on holiday to it.
I believe some people may have had stop-overs of a few hours using Icelandair while travelling to the US or have been on a cruise ship which stopped there. The only real comment I've heard from people is the cost of things in Iceland. Sorry I can't help anymore.

Thanks. I always thought Iceland was a popular destination. I know nothing about the country so not attempting a freestyle holiday - package tour all the way. Just thought someone might have tips on which tour operators they had used in the past.
