I could have THROTTLED the teenagers that reacted to every bump and jive at Woman in Black a few weeks ago. Yeah, ok, i did jump a little myself and gave a little scream (maybe a big scream then) BUT could have done without the total running commentry and the million 'OMG thats the scariest thing i've EVER seen' every 2 bloody seconds

I'm sure they meant Daniel Radcliffe cropping up in every scene. :giggle:

I had a similar grroup behind me, I personally didnt find the film scary at all, creepy, god yes.
BUT thw only time I jumped was when a tap suddenly turned on.....and the girl behind screamed right into my ear, jumped and kicked my chair at the same time.
THAT I wasnt expecting :shifty:

Thankfully I went on a Thursday evening so didn't get any annoying teenage girls. I did get the odd phone, bits of chatter and even the faint sounds of a walkie-talkie coming from the projection room, but I guess that's the modern multiplex for you.
Go ahead, make my day - by visiting my blog: http://jacobthehobnob.wordpress.com/

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2012" club. I saw 32, which is rather delightful.. I beat Mr. Glass on free films but he narrowly inched me out on total films seen.

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2011" club. I saw 20, interestingly enough. My more realistic target was to see more free films than TheyCallMeMrGlass. I lost.

Having read (and noticed myself) a large amount of misbehaviour this weekend at We Buyed a Zoo, is the general concencus amongst us that the standard of behaviour and indeed the quality of cinema go-er is dropping overall? Or could it be that this is just an impression as we all collectively advance gradually in age? Aren't policemen looking younger these days!
I just feel myself wanting to or even having to say something to those that feel it is appropriate to chat to each other during a movie. This happened on Saturday - they just spoke quite plainly to each other without making any attempt whatsoever to lower their voices (let alone whisper, heaven forbid). This just made me seethe, ruined my viewing experience and made me feel like Victor Meldrew! Surely we should just be able to text Beate with their location in the cinema and have them eliminated. Ah - peace!

Or cinemas with chairs fitted like the one on Graham Norton's TV show where a lever is pulled (in Beate's control room) and they flip backwards tipping the offending occupant out (possibly into a chute that rapidly exits the cinema and into a back alley outside).
