ok so I picked up Once Upon A Time this week. This is shot pretty well, and I loved Storybrooke. The whole amnesia thing seems a bit of a contrived way to explain why they are acting like normal human beings now, wonder how long they can carry that. The show reminds me of the Fable comics, that have fairytale characters living in a contrived 'modern' setting. Theres a rich vein of really decent 'fae and fantasy' tv shoes around at the moment, this, GOT and Lost Girl - 2012 is becoming an annus mirabilis for fantasy fans.

I watched the latest episode of Once Upon a Time yesterday (I watch US pace, it's the previous to last episode of the season) and this show has gotten SO GOOD! You're in for a treat :)

I finally started watching Smash (UK pace) so am only 3 episodes in but this show is really good, just as I knew it would be. :D

On a separate note, series 2 of Episodes starts on the BBC on Friday.

They certainly dont waste a scene in the first episode. Its all well put together. Makes a welcome change from all that rubbishy 90s fantasy we used to get (thinking Hercules and co lol truely terrible).

I'm still only 2 episodes into Smash, and while the pilot was a bit slow I really enjoyed the second episode and am keen to watch the others asap.

Smash is fun. It shows you what Glee really should be aiming for in its set peices. Each episode so far is basically the same thing, an opening song, a bit of drama from Simon Cowell and a transforming finale. But its all good to watch. Hang on that sounds like Xfactor.

Lost Girl looks good... caught a bit of it a couple days back and might need to catch-up on the series.

Been watching Haven and while the pilot looked promising, I'm worried its going to taper off into the ridiculous…

it did! I liked the lead characters but its a very poor mans Xfiles at best. The ridiculous plots and lack of direction may work better for you if you are more of a New Age Mulder-type than a scientific Scully because they dont even bother explaining them lol.

but Lost Girl rocks. Only problem is how to deal with the withdrawal symptoms inbetween seasons. I have decided to split season 2 into two miniseasons with a break so I dont have to go cold turkey over the summer lol.

I wasn't that much into this series at the start but now I really like it. My bf, on the other hand, lost interest in it.
Is it going to be renewed for another season?

The network hasn't decided yet but it has high odds of renewal.

90210 and The Vampire Diaries have now been renewed.

It looks like Community will survive a bit longer by reducing the number of episodes for the next series but it is not official yet. :cross:
