where's that total coming from? only 3 people have voted on the front site http://www.fmuk.org.uk/?p=3307
I put my 4/10 on it to make it a third.

Saw this last night at a completely packed Islington Vue (thankfully got there early-ish so got good seats). I agree with most other comments really...bit cheesy, funny moments but generally ok. Really enjoyed the stage show and thought the film was an ok adaptation of it. The wife hadn't seen the show and still really enjoyed it and kept rocking out at points.

Anyway, not bad, glad I saw it. Would say 6 or 7 out of 10 for me.

quite biaised if you ask me... how many of those 18 FMUKers are clearly fans of the stage musical?

It's was never going to be scientific BUT I quickly added up the scores (on this thread, in the absence of anything else to go on) to see if it might be worth taking time out of my schedule to see it.

Also I was replying to the person who said they didn't enjoy it.

ROA 7.7 scores highly against Snow W. 6.8, Prom 6.6 and Fast Girls 7.3 (I enjoyed Fast Girls the best)

It's always going to be biased as votes only come from people who bother to vote or let us know their score but I think it's pretty consistent around the 7.7 mark everywhere here.

yeah I found it so meh I wasn't going to bother to post about it or give it a score, only with filmcat counting up scores I thought I better put mine in. :shifty:
I quite liked the music but it just seemed to drag I checked my watch a dozen times, LOL last week was better than this.

It really has all been said in this thread! We have not seen the stage version so can't compare with that - but we really did enjoy this -- it was just basically lots of fun.

My DH loved the music -- the youngsters in it were okay - but Tom Cruise did a great job and did really steal the show.

The Baldwin/Brand love song was very funny -- and Hey Man had some great scenes and costumes.

Just a lot of fun -- and you do come out smiling 8/10. It is certainly not something I would recommend to everyone - you have to look up the soundtrack and decide from there if it is going to be for you.
