Up in the Air
Re: Up in the Air
Tried to see this last night at Norwich Odean, but was full by 6.20, hmmm Manager said he had 140 seats allocated and couldn't do anything about it, several people gave up and went away, others, myself included eventually talked our way in to another film, quoting Managers discretion, we were given two choices Avatar 2d or The Road, chose the Road myself, oh dear! Although he said there were no others starting at the time I checked our local paper on my return and that was a bit of a porky. Part of the deal was we agreed to email SFF to complain to them and big up the cinema for being generous. First time ever I haven't got in to a movie and tbh I was very surprised.

Gutted to have missed the free preview in Convent Garden. Will have to catch it in the cinema by the looks of it.

Re: Up in the Air
Saw this in Cardiff last night. 80% full. Started 6.30 on the dot!
I was quite disappointed!!! .... not what I imagined ..... My love for Clooney kept me interested throughout however.
I found it sad and lonely... i maybe needed a more upbeat movie on such a cold, dark, miserable Monday evening.
7/10

Re: Up in the Air
What's confusing about the ending? Saw it again today, loved it just as much as the first time. This is such a sharp, witty film, exploring relationships and our place in life in a clever way. Great to see hottips again, and bevvy of course! 9/10
Re: Up in the Air
went to Odeon wimbledon yesterday for this but were late (6.40pm) and there were already about dozen of ppls being stopped fr entering... there is one couple who claimed that they were there 1 minutes late but the ushers still don't let them in with an excuse of health and safety... although the cinema was not packed. (i think the usher is new and he tends to follow all the rules and regulation... he said that he will get sacked if he allows us to go in)... it's reasonable not letting me in(10mins late) comparing to those ppl who jz arrive at 6.31pm...
anyway, watch this today at Vue Fulham Broadway... i quite like it actually, had couple of laugh but would prefer the ending a bit better.... and i have learned couple of things fr this movie... will rate 7.5

Re: Up in the Air
Saw this at Odeon Whiteleys (do they have screens bigger than 32" in that cinema?). Film started about 15 minutes late, then we had a few trailers first so didn't get started til about 6.50.
Thoroughly enjoyed the film, very funny in places, intelligent, a topic the average man can relate to regarding job losses etc. It exceeded my expectations & I'd definitely recommend it.
We got asked for ID before going in... and I was annoyed with a few stragglers coming IN when there were 20 minutes left in the film, whispering at the back, then leaving. This happened at least 3 times.
Didn't spoil my enjoyment though - 8/10
