It is meant to be for your safety... to prevent people bringing volatile/inflammable/dangerous substances into the venue...

Edit: I saw lots of tents set up when I was there on Sunday for The Lorax, and I expect that is where security will be (to scan bags etc).
That's what I was just thinking about those tents. How do we find out if there are events being held at the same morning as Brave is showing?
Edit : There is men's gymnastics that morning at the O2.

These rules apply to all the Olympic events, including the Torch Relay finale concert in Hyde Park and the BT London Live events as well as the Olympic venues.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but there is artistic gymnastics at the 02 from 28th July to 3rd August and basketball from 8th-12th August.

If it works the same as with the main Olympic venue you're allowed to bring in empty plastic bottles and they provide free drinking water fountains to fill up your bottle once through security.

102 Different free films seen in 2010 plus 2 repeat viewings and a few tv show screenings... not too shabby. Thanks to everyone for their contributions here.

Just got this email from sky incase anyone is seeing this in Kingston

We are emailing to let you know that the screening of Disney Pixar\'s Brave in 3D at Kingston Odeon is going to be screened slightly later on Saturday, at 6pm for a 6:30pm start. This is due to the road closures in the morning for Olympic cycling.

Therefore the screening will not be showing at 10am for a 10:30am start.

Your current tickets will still be valid, so please bring these along to the screening on Saturday, at Kingston Odeon at 6pm.

We do hope you can make it and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you.
