I really love the song the dwarves are chanting in the trailer. Gives it a groovy mysterious feel. Can't wait for this one.

I heard the director wants it to be a trilogy. Any truth in that ?!!

He wants it to be a trilogy, that doesn't necessarily mean it'll become one though. The Hobbit really doesn't have enough story for 3 or even 2 movies, so if it does become a trilogy they must've liftsed a lot of story from the Silmarillion as well.

Actually C_T, Newline do not have rights to film anything from the Silmarillion. The Tolkien estate do not want to sell rights to that property. So its from the LOTR appendixes that they can flesh out the Hobbit story, and there was certainly a quite a bit in the appendixes.

I'm sure they will give us a trilogy of quality and entertaining films. Why would they want to give us less. I have faith in PJ and co. I was not in favour of Deathly Hallows split into 2 but even though I still think it should have been 1 movie, they did deliver 2 great entertaining movies. And so I trust they will do for the Hobbit.

Having said all that, I cant help remembering Bilbo's words to Gandalf in LOTR:

" I feel... thin. Sort of stretched, like... butter scraped over too much bread"

Oh that's such a shame, I love The Silmarillion!

That is a perfect quote for the current situation by the way! And leads me to the following I just came across...

How much is The Hobbit worth per page? :

I need these in my life... (even though they're kind of ugly, for some reason I still want them)

Yeah but these special 3d glasses dont ever seem to cross the pond from the US, I remember US had some cool Avengers 3D glasses but we didnt :(

We did get the Harry Potter style 3D specs though, so there is hope! And WB are doing the distributing for the Hobbit :cross:

Born of Hope is an awesome production, well acted and fits perfectly well with the visual aesthetics, soul and mood of PJ's LOTR. It has a super original score too that fits nicely with Howard Shore's work. The movie tells the story of Aragon's father, Arathorn. Watch it, no bravery needed! This is my favourite fan made movie and I find it far better than The Search for Gollum, another fan made movie which gets a lot of praise.
