What shite this was.
Very similar to A Few Best Men only less funny - is that even possible? This film should have bypassed the cinema, avoided a DVD release and gone straight to the cutting room floor. There was nothing whatsoever redeeming about this film. Can't say we weren't warned though.
Wished I'd stayed in and watched telly instead.
Was particularly crude and innuendous (new word?) and all that was missing was some full frontal dick shots. Everything else made an appearance including a variety of bodily fluids.
After watching this I felt like that poor wedding dress.

I didn't expect much from this but it didn't reach even the low standard I expected.... Can't really think of any redeeming features...

What does a film have to do to get a 1/10 there?

As bad movies go, this was pretty good. It wasn’t meant to be a great story line with lots of character development but it was quite funny. True, this may not appeal to the greater public but it was a lot better than A Few Best Men which I found totally unfunny, bland and quite diabolical.

You know what you’re going to get with an Adam Sandler film and while previous films have been totally dire, this wasn’t too bad. I wouldn’t have pa*d to watch this and I can’t argue with the fact that this could’ve been something that went straight to DVD, but it’s a great ‘no expectations/ leave your brain at home’ kind of film.

Assuming that 0/10 doesn't happen then I'd say if a movie is so bad that one walks out it merits a 1/10.
I stayed.

Before the film started my friend and I were discussing all the Groupon and Itison deals we each had to use so when the stag night was a "Groupon deal" we had to laugh!!!

So I'll give it a 2/10 for that - but as for the rest it was crude. Aimed I guess at teenage boys and their fancination with sex. I am no prude (I laugh at Mrs Brown's boys!! ;) ) but if this is what the younger generation think is a great film I am glad I am an old fuddy duddy.

The young girl sitting next to me (but alas nothing to do with me!) was in hysterics throughout this movie. She was pretty much the only person laughing though. A very narrow demographic I'd guess. I think it would take more than exaggerated bulges in shorts or references to sticky Kleenex to amuse most self-respecting teenage boys. There actually needs to be some wit involved and perchance a little drop of acting too. The "Ewww" factor is not sufficient to carry a film, and only works when it surprises you in places you weren't expecting. If used constantly it loses it's effect. I am not a prude either and would find this funny in the context of a funny film. Mirth was absent.

I'm suddenly quite intrigued. How does it measure up to Zohan, Billy Madison or Happy Gilmore?

I suppose this Adam Sandler would qualify as my 'Guilty Pleasure'... I'd rate the films you've mentions in the following order:
1. Happy Gilmore
2. Billy Madison
3. That's my Boy
4. Zohan

PS. I really don't know why he has to put on that annoying voice at times... :wall:
Would be more manageable with a regular voice

Compared to some of Sandler's recent stinkers - Just Go With It, Jack & Jill - this is fine. The Sarandon cameo was really inspired (especially considering she's the younger teachers mom in real life) but i do think Andy Samberg was massively underused. I'm consistently surprised how many celebs Sandler can get for these movies, and this one made me laugh no matter how stupid it was. Maybe its just because I'm a teen?
