Unfortunately this is always the case at Cineworld Shaftesbury Avenue -they always chose the tiny screenings upstairs for their previews-. I personally don't bother anymore as I know I can't make it for 6pm!

Appreciate overallocation can happen, and I must admit it's not the first time. It usually happens with the more popular ones. I wasn't expecting SP to be an overly popular film, but I guess I was wrong. Fully agree about getting to venues 30 mins before, which I don't always do, admittedly.

I 2nd that on the hate side of things. Would have loved to have walked out if I wouldn't have disturbed too many people.

Shaftesbury Avenue is much closer for me, but I went to the O2 because I knew I'd have a guaranteed seat. SA always overallocate a tiny tiny screen. The Sky superscreen is massive. I turned up at 6.45 (6 for 7 start) and still got a seat.

Doesn't matter how good/bad the film is, SA is always popular as central London.

The only other screening was for Sky customers and had Greenwich 02 as a venue so this was the only central London location which would explain why it was so popular.

I really enjoyed this film, it wasn't as funny as I was expecting and towards the end the story became quite sad, however it was an interesting story and a little different to the norm.

I saw this tonight at SA and thought it was really good. And Colin Farrell was absolutely gorgeous as usual .....

Went to Shaftesbury. It was so-so. Thought it tried to be all a bit too Tarantino, which didn't always work.

Saw this at Chichester. Hated parts of this and found some of it slightly amusing. Redeemed only by Christopher Walken, not even Colin Farrell's prettiness could distract from the lack of plot.
5/10. The seats at this cinema are also incredibly uncomfortable.
