Sorry! Just not for me. A Marmite film I think!
bwahahahaha!! I too sat thinking of the hairy angel.

I'm glad to hear that it wasn't just me! Do you think she realises, even now, what the song is about??!!! Terrifying!!!

Probably not! She did know the words though so we have to give her credit for that ;)

Earlier on this thread some of us were comparing watching Les Mis to undergoing root canal work - in terms of duration, at least. Did any Londoner notice the same comparison being made in an article in Friday's Standard? David Sexton's piece was called "How Can Anyone Who Loves Music Enjoy Musicals?" and included the remark: "I am undergoing a course of root canal treatment at the moment, I can truthfully report I find it less trying than sitting through a musical, and you feel miles better afterwards as well."

Yes I saw that too but wasn't clever enough to connect it to the root canal comments on here. I know another David who would agree with that comment in relation to the Les Mis film but he is very willing to give the stage show a try.

I wouldn't mind seeing the stage show again but it has remained perennially popular and the film has of course increased demand. Shame there's no chance of any free tix!
