I hated this. We weren't as brave as fetta and stayed until the bitter end though I felt like walking out. Count your blessings, Ms Thrifty -- Robot and Frank a much better choice.

Spot on, I thought she was very good, but the film was pretty poor.

A forced premise, not funny enough and the sentimental stuff didn't really work.

I feel similar to how I did after Due Date, maybe a bit more positive, basically don't watch this dust off Midnight Run or Planes, Trains and Automobiles instead.

Saw this tonight at the O2 Cineworld and fought with the hordes of Beliebers tonight.

Quite underwhelmed by this film. Melissa McCarthy has a few good scenes and improv scenes. Just very bland and no real excitement. I had high expectations and really wanted to like it but left rather hollow and empty.

Unforgivably god awful, lazy, stupid, just a shocking piece of 'comedy'. Offensively bad. Abrasive, pathetic and generally lousy.

What started with promise quickly descends into a movie reliant on repeating the same jokes again and again (and again!). Add to that some incredibly stupid plot elements (in particular the end) and some barfable characters, and the few funny scenes present are so thinly spread as to make the movie tail off into boredom fast. This shouldn't be an Adam Sandler film, but you would expect him to turn up, it that kind of 'humour'.
fav 5 films of the year - Tenet, Bill n Ted 3, Invisible Man, JoJo Rabbit, ?

I'm with you on this. I always try to see the positive in things but thought this was just OK 5/10

I'm with those of you who really disliked this film. If I was sitting on an aisle seat, I would have left.

Anyway, I don't find Melissa McCarthy that funny (I use the sitcom "Mike and Molly" as a soporific...usually takes me no more than 10 minutes to pass out on the couch when I'm watching this sitcom).

I went into this film with low expectations, but I found this very funny, I loved the two lead characters and thought they worked well together, both are actors I like. The story was not the best, but it was my type of humour and made me laugh more than any other comedy films I can think of so far this year so I would give 8/10.

Oh dear, this is a hit and miss film by the sounds of it. Cinema nearly full in Cardiff even with Cardiff and Derby playing.
I came to the film with no high hopes of being entertained but was surprised, I laughed. Not having the best of times at the moment probably helped me feel connected to the stupidity of the legal dilema he was under.
However, I did enjoy it - the way Melissa McCarthys' character jsut bulldozed her way through life was done very well, met people like her, who just take what they see as theirs by some right (right?).
Glad she had some sort of come upance
Hope no one tries the violence she dishes out.

Will come done on the liked side 8/10 plead vulnerability
