Re: Robot & Frank
Enjoyed this one. A nice, gentle, heartwarming tale. It didn't demand anything of its audience and just allowed you to enjoy the relationship between Frank and Robot. Although having darker undertones it deals with them gently. I would recommend this one!
Re: Robot & Frank
Well I am probably the one on FMUK who is very often saying she didn't like a film (and often I don't post an opinion so others won't hear yet another -- "oh dear -- this was dire" from me but that is just me being a coward) so I think we should allow everyone to say what they feel. No one is right and no one is wrong--certain films appeal and certain don't. Could we leave it at that? The Sparrow wrote:And so say all of us!newdot wrote:

Here's my review.
I thought it was a great look at a future that feels just around the corner. I thought the mirroring of Frank's mental condition with the library was also very cleverly constructed. I love seeing science fiction when it's more thoughtful and philosophical rather than spaceships exploding and laser guns.

Re: Robot & Frank
I wasn't expecting much of this film but it was surprisingly likeable.
[spoiler]I can only imagine the mayhem Frank will cause when he starts manipulating the robots at that care home
