Long story short. Have lost all BBC channels on my humax freeview box and I can't seem to find them using automatic search. Yet on the actually tv they are all there. It won't be such a problem but OH loves Eastenders. Any advice?

Preference of cinemas:- 1. Glasgow Renfield Street Cineworld, 2. Glasgow Showcase, 3. Braehead Odeon, 4. Vue Fort, 5 Glasgow Springfield Quay, 5. any other cinema in Glasgow area including Hamilton
Also Falkirk, Dunfermline and Stirling but these are rarely used for free previews.

All the BBC channels are on a single channel group so it sounds like the signal has dropped below a threshold. The box and TV are very likely to have different thresholds which is why the tv can still see the channels. There are two possible reasons for this, transmitter at lower power or aerial and/or cable fault at your end. If the aerial cable is not a high quality type then the screen will have decayed over the years to the point where it just crumbles - i've seen it happen twice now. Its just the outside section that crumbles but it makes a massive difference when you replace the cable.

Wow! I've had intermittent internet access for the past few hours and have just received an email alert for a private message. Yet when I clicked and went to my inbox, there wasn't a message waiting for me.
I took another look at the email only to see it was actually issued at 5.41pm on March 1st. Talk about taking the scenic route to get to me. :bwl:

This is a good deal and I would reccommend, but it depends what you are using it for?
A horse walks into a bar and the bartender asks, "Why the long face?"

A pony walks into the bar and whispers, "I'll have a beer, please." The barkeeper asks, "Why are you whispering?".
"I'm a little hoarse."

Hope you've managed to retrieve all the channels again, Yinster!
I get this problem every so often and it sorts itself out. The strange thing is TV in living room loses the channels but not the one in bedroom. Wouldn't like OH to miss Eastenders!

Have real internet problems now! Grrrr thanks Sky.
I got three email alerts from March 1st, nice to see I wasn't the only one.
I am hoping to get a new laptop soon too, so will check that link later when Sky let me access the net for longer than three seconds at a time! :wall:
