I know it won't be to ALL of your tastes BUT I have completed my children's book! :D
It is called Billy Goats Gruff - Troll Hunters, and is a text/picture book for children with a bit more of a grim taste!
I have officially published it on Blurb and is available through my book store here:

Good luck with the book, unfortunately we don't have an iPad otherwise I would have got it for my daughter, sounds like something my daughter would like.
Preferred Cinema's now Paignton or Exeter!
