Fully agree that The Rock steals the show, though I also did for the most part enjoy Mark Wahlberg as well. Rebel Wilson, however, was COMPLETELY underused. Would have liked for her to have more screen time and better material. I'd like to know how much of this they took liberties with, as at one of the more ridiculous parts we were, in fact, reminded that this was a true story.
The voiceover technique was good to advance things, but at times it was difficult to tell The Rock from Tony Shahloub from Mark Wahlberg when they first started talking.
I do love a good dumb criminal. Should really have quit while they were ahead. And checked the kill. Always check the kill, have you learned nothing from every movie ever?
Lovely also tonight to finally meet RickyRaj and funthing29. And the unexpected buffet and open bar was also a major bonus. Cheers, Paramount!
