Do I take it from that you are not happy!?! :p
Hope you made it to The Big Wedding tonight . . . it was a rather pleasant wee film . . .non-taxing on the brain. I'm sure your mum and friends will enjoy it . . . give it a try . . .you might like it, SB!!!! :p
Saw this in a half empty Braehead tonight tho I think they expected a full house as they were telling us on the way in to not leave any empty seats. I suspect the small audience is due to multiple screenings.
I have to admit that I was ready for this kind of light-hearted film. Story was predictable and odd to see so many well-known actors/actresses in it.
I would not have been unhappy if I'd pa*d to see The Big Wedding as it "did what it said on the tin".

It was OK, and not too taxing on the brain at all. There was a stellar cast, who did what they could with the script they were given. Sometimes I feel that when a screenwriter/producer/director/teaboy is doing everything, he can overstretch himself somewhat. (This does not apply to Clint Eastwood).

I rather enjoyed the film - there were some very funny scenes, but I feel that so much more could have been made of it. Do you think maybe we've seen too many wedding comedies recently?

6/10 from me.

Seen at a very wet Cardiff, in one of the smaller cinemas. I was hoping for a good laugh after the mad week in work I've had and it's only tuesday! Well, think I'll have to wait a bit longer for that good laugh.
Some big stars doing their best but the plot was as thin as the laughs. Really wanted this to be better.
