tbh it is one of those terrible trailers that seems to gives away a lot of the story.

Re: Everyboody has a plan
For all those who have not checked . . . yes, the film is in Spanish and subtitled.
Probably means half the tickets booked will never be used!
. . . and we will probably have the usual walkouts too!
For those looking at Glasgow, the only screening is 8.30pm each evening.

Re: Everybody has a plan
Just back from a near empty screening of this film in Glasgow.
Myself and the OH thoroughly enjoyed it and found it to be a noirish thriller that we both really hope Hollywood doesn't try to remake!

Going to see this tomorrow at 9pm. Really looking forward to it. But like the OP said, had to stop watching the trailer half way through.

Re: Everybody has a plan
Went to see this yesterday and have to say that it's much, much better than it's current IMDb rating (5.3) would indicate.
Sure it moves at a relatively slow pace, but it still managed to hold my attention throughout & contained a really great performance (or more accurately performances
) by Viggo Mortensen.
I viewed this flick as pretty much a love letter to the god/deity of bad decision making and overall it deserves a solid 7/10 from me...

Really disappointing. Dragged its feet throughout. Noir? More like blah!

Re: Everybody has a plan
Everybody has a plan? What was that plan then, steal over 2 hours of my life which I could have spent in the sunshine instead of watching a dreary slow film with two Viggo's in it that sucks the joy of life out of you? I was so tempted to follow this up with Populaire which was playing in the same screen 15 minutes after, just to inject some happiness into my life again, but I was cold and hungry and just needed to get out.

Tried to watch this at Bolton last night with about 15 to 20 people in a Cinema that hold 300.
Not the first time we had problems at Cineworld Bolton - last time there was no sound at all despite half a dozen attempts to restart the film. This time it looked like they zoomed in the screen too far, so that the bottom line of the subtitles was misisng. This meant we only got to see about 20% of the subtitles - when there were two lines we saw the top line. Our Spanish is not so hot - so the film was just about impossible to follow. Lots of rabiitting and very little subtitles - those subtitles we saw appeared to bee random sentences - probably becuase the rest was missing.
There were numerous walk outs after less than 15 mintues. I can only assume that those who remained were either fluent in Spanish or asleep!
In fairness to Cineworld, they did offer vouchers to come back another time...

EVERYBODY HAS A PLAN
A very good film, slow at times but good use of subtitles to keep the audience engaged
