World War Z
Re: World War Z
I really enjoyed it had a good solid structure and a personal dilemma for the character. I give it 8/10

Re: World War Z
Saw this today on a 2 for 1 as no new free previews this week
I have to say my heart sank when I realised that the Z referred to Zombies!
However, I really enjoyed the film.
Yes, there were holes in the plot but it definitely kept the tension at a high level from the start. I was totally immersed in the story and did jump on several occasions. I enjoyed seeing Glasgow on screen but amazed how little there was considering the amount of time used for the filming.
Ok I didn't get to see it for free (as there were no free previews in Glasgow) but did get to see it half price.
Was it worth it? I would say yes though I was shocked to find that a ticket cost £9 for a 2D film!!!!!!
This experience has reminded how much I save by being a member of FMUK and get to see free previews so often
Let's hope for even more previews as I definitely couldn't p*y £9 to see a film every week!

Re: World War Z
Great film. Best I've seen this year I would say. Bit of an abrupt ending, a second on the way??

I was at the Odeon Quay in Glasgow which is not even in the city centre. I was absolutely shocked at the cost!caitlinmorton wrote: 9 quid? Where were you? I p*y like 6! Though to be fair I get student prices, but I also always book online and no one ever checks.

Re: World War Z
Let's man up and face it. This was mediocre 4/10
Re: World War Z
Awesome movie to be honest, very entertaining and suspenseful, definately one of the better zombie movies out there 7.5/10
Negatives points:
-Scenes were too dark on aircraft refuelling scene couldn't tell who was zombie or soldier or if there was even a scene set behind all that dark lighting.
-Could have play more on the horror factor (like 28 days later or dawn of the dead), this was not scary at all and played out like a thriller instead.
-Wasn't keen on the Camouflage idea, this 6th sense to detect healthy host crap... So let me get this right... Zombies can detect a healthy presence while they can't detect an unhealthy presence, yet in the movie they were dodging zombies by staying quiet and unseen, why couldn't the zombies just feel their healthy presence?
Re: World War Z
After reading the book last year, I was really looking forward to seeing this film.
I couldn't have been disappointed more. Without any of the sociological, political, cultural and psychological insights/caricatures that make the book such a compelling documentary, this film is just another zombie flick.

Re: World War Z
Don't like criticising movies if they try to entertain but this movie getting so much hype, feel I have to knock it down a bit. Yes grand scale, but 28 Days later and even Snyders' Dawn of the Dead update far superior Zombie movies.
Pitt strolls through this surviving some ridiculous scenarios that you sometimes feel he is 'undead'. I realise this is based on the book but having read that, this could have been awesome without the big budget.
5/10.
