The cinema was alive with laughter and reaction.
Majority of the cinema goer's clapped @ the end.

Didn't stay right to the end as needed the facilities but somebody posted it on YouTube.

LOL not sure how ones lets slip a spoiler when ones not seen it.

What I wrote was that Chloe MOretz isn't a suitable candidate for playing the comic's tween Hitgirl anymore - shes physically too old. You must mean something different, though I wont say what cat you let out the bag (spoilers!).
I interpreted your post to read that she wasn't playing the character anymore.
In the film she quit being Hit Girl for a while after she made a promise to her legal guardian. Hence I believed you had posted a spoiler!
Went to the O2 to see this on Friday. As a massive fan of the original film, this definitely felt a lot less fresh and a lot less interesting a story. Having said that, Hit-Girl was amazing as ever, and I enjoyed this a lot.

7/10

Saw this in Glasgow courtesy of SocialFlutterby's generosity. No local free preview so great chance to see for free anyway! o/
I had seen the original and was really looking forward to No. 2. I wasn't disappointed but I do think there was probably too much graphic violence which I had thought folk had exaggerated . . . they hadn't!
I think they could still have had a good film and maybe even a 12A rating if they'd cut back on violence. I think a lot of young teenagers would have enjoyed the story but violence definitely too much for anything less than a 15 rating.
Marks 7/10

I saw this last night, with a rather lovely bunch of Fmuk'ers :D

I loved it, okay so it lacks the surprise element that the original had however plenty of action and a ton of humour thrown in to boot! There is no slow build up like the first movie and i loved the opening scene Definitely more high tempo than the first, as MG says it was pretty violent but i still thought the violence was done comic book style for the most part but still merits it's 15 Rating

Did i say i loved this :D 9/10

I also saw this courtesy of Social Flutterby and have to say thank you on behalf of my daughter who really enjoyed it...... I hope it doesn't sound ungrateful to say that for me it's probably one of the worst movies I have seen in years! Sorry SB! I hadn't seen the original and for that I am extremely grateful. Far too violent and nonsensical for me. I did however have a really rather lovely night playing musical chairs with the rest of the Fmuk'ers and left the cinema on a sugar high! 2/10 from me and that's being generous!

entering with crap expectations, it was fairly good on the whole. It was never going to set a precedent like the first one in superhero genre, but this managed to do a good job of bad rubbish (the KA2 graphic novel). Its nowhere near as great as the first, no doubting that, either film or novel.

Before seeing it I was lucky enough to check out the HitGirl Prelude graphic novel which sets things up for the movie well, and evens out the crapness of the KA2 novel. I'd recommend reading it before seeing the movie.

Missed opportunity with one of the older characters - I was hoping to see an OAP hero join the fold (which really would have been a precedent to give this movie as good a new character as Hitgirl originally was) and I thought Jim Carrey was supposed to be that, but no, I've leave it to you to find out.

The saw WOlverine. oh dear.

Wait...so Kick-Ass 2 was better than Wolverine? Jeez, Wolverine must be bloody awful then.
