Well done everyone on your weight lose! o/ I haven't lost any thing this week but haven't gained either so considering I had fish and chips and a glass of wine as a pub lunch yesterday I suppose that's not bad.

Just back in from my swim in the outdoor pool. Lovely day here so it was very enjoyable and only three people in the pool so plenty of room to move as I hate when it is busy.

Today had cereal and blackberries (picked a new batch yesterday), will have homemade cauliflower and broccoli soup and a banana for lunch. Tonight is chicken and pasta and salad. Two Rivita and smear of butter and cup of tea before bed.

alameals wrote:Hey everyone. Just thought I'd drop in as I started my health kick yesterday and it's always good to talk about your progress I've noticed in the past, hoping to shed 2 stone, hopefully like to use the first stone by Nov or Dec. Weighed in yesterday at 14 Stone 7, had my first run yesterday, legs are stiff today. Not really following a particular diet just cutting out the rubbish for now (sweets, fizzy drinks, etc) and see where I go from here

Hey Welcome Alameals , good to have you here !

I always like to say that you are in the best company here if living a healthier, fuller and happier lifestyle is your goal, there are some truly inspirational and motivational people here who will support you all the way and will make sure to do their best to help you lose that stone by Nov-Dec. Just remember that even if you dont succeedd in achieving your targets in the timescale that you set so long as you are looking better, feeling better and enjoying life more then thats definately success that is of a better scale. There is no success in looking like a male or female supermodel and still feeling unhappy about yourself.

So best of luck and keep posting here to let us know how your getting on . Cutting out the rubbish is like 60 percent of the journey complete so well done ! keep at it ! And the running will get easier over time so keep at this too.

Once again a big warm welcome and heres to the 2 stone lighter alameals o/

Well done Diane and Preston, you guys rock as usual o/ Well done Biggins too, for maintaining the healthy lifestyle o/ Dont worry about the fish and chips, the important thing is you know its not quite the healthiest meal and I expect you dont eat that often :)

Welcome Alameals, you'll enjoy the health and fitness journey ahead of you, with the warm, encouraging and sometimes butt-kicking support you'll get from this thread ;)

Right I lost 2 games and won one. I need to win the next game to at least stay in this division. Its tough up here but I'll get to know my opponents game, I'm working hard on my drills and fitness too. Fitness is essential as I may play technically well but all that goes out the window if I lose energy towards the end of the matches. I'm now training to become level 2 squash coach. I'm already level 1 teaching beginners.

I'm doing a bit more running again now that the cricket season is over. I will do another charity half marathon for December/January time, will need to find a venue. Its been over and a half since I done a running event.

Keep up with your goals everyone, well done!

Ooops crossed post with Moviemann :) well done to you too for driving massive energy around here. You're, very inspiring and a big star! Hey do you run 10ks, half marathons, marthon events? Maybe we can do an fmuk run event? ;) Maybe a 5k run so more of us can participate? just a wild thought...

Hey Mr Glass, thank you for your kind words ! :D

RickyRaj is the man for marathons, hes an avid and successful marathon runner. With everything I do I wouldnt have the time to train for marathon running , I would most probably need to give up kickboxing for a few weeks while I train for marathon running which I cant really do, but I do run on the treadmill in the mornings at the gym and I think I should be able to manage a 5k run at my current stage.

Sounds like fun, I think moggers and also chelle1973 are runners too

Morning everyone :D

Woah, it's really buzzing in here at the moment with everyone sharing their goals and aspirations.

Welcome, and great to have you on-board alameals. o/

Well done on winning one of your squash games in the new division Mr G o/ I'm loving the way you are planning to sus out the opposition's game in order to defeat them. There's nothing like having a bit of tactical strategy to improve one's chances of success.

Your cauliflower and broccoli soup sounds like just the thing for this colder weather Biggins. I knocked up another huge batch of Moviemannn vegetable based curry yesterday and have been having bowls of it to keep warm. It's delicious. Haven't got round to making Baty's Pontak sauce yet as still need to get a couple of ingredients (allspice berries and mace) so hoping that the elderberries will keep OK for a couple of days in the fridge.

Hope the Tiffany Rothe exercises went Ok Diane ;) and good luck with your training all you runners out there. o/
