Got back from my Rhine river cruise yesterday and weighted myself this morning - put on 2lbs this last week but with the amount of food I scoffed it could have been a lot worse. Scenery was lovely and we were very lucky with good weather the whole week. Food fanastic and I did try to be good but failed at the excellent dinner each night - although I was reasonably good at breakfast and lunchtime.

Walked to the cinema this morning and have one almighty pile of washing and ironing to do so that may get rid of some calories. :cross:

Morning all. Had a sloppy weekend, I was running round all saturday preparing the surprise party so didn't squeeze a run in then got rather drunk at the party so Sunday was a right off lol. Going for a run at 5 when I finish work though, more birthdays to come this week though, best friends tomorrow/my wedding anniversary, then my brothers 18th on Thursday. I've got birthdays all over the place but hoping I'll get 4 runs in this week

Evening all. After the lazy weekend I had no excuses tonight so pushed myself to finally do 5k, did it in 36:56. Reading online of average 5k times that is pretty slow but hey it gives me a benchmark to beat but personally I'm over the moon that I did it. I think I'll have to rest tomorrow. That's the longest I've run in years so got a feeling I'll need a rest. Hope everyone is having a nice evening

Oh, Well done! That's fantastic and your enthusiasm and sense of achievement are shining through your words!! o/

But don't be so hard on yourself - OK your time may not be the fastest in the world this year :shifty: - but as you say, you did it and it gives you a time to aim for and improve on for your next run. That's what it's all about for everyone isn't it. ;)

I've been more controlled with my eating this week and thankfully have lost 3 pounds. That means I've shed a stone in seven weeks. I'm really happy about that but I've plenty more weight to shift though. I really must concentrate on getting some more exercise done though, as I'm still being lazy and continually putting it off.

Good luck with your diets, exercise and weigh-ins everybody o/ :D
