Filth
Re: Filth
I saw this the other night and i've got to say, I really enjoyed it
I've not read the book, so I wasn't sure exactly what to expect, but given the Redband trailer and the article about McAvoy expecting people to walk out, personally, I didn't find it that shocking. I'm not entirely sure what that says about me though!
Would definitely recommend it to friends, though probably not to my parents :)

Just tried to get tickets for the film via the Metro filmfirst site but it states when you have logged in, that there are no films available. Anyone else having the same message?

Re: Filth
Was stucked in one important meeting in office, so I entered the cinema hall almost 40 mins. after the start... thought I will make it before climax and understand some story... but got to know from friends that I missed the interesting bit in first half :) and the remaining part that I saw was actually boring for me... I will go with 3/10.

Re: Filth
You should never have been allowed in 40 minutes after the film started. The running time is only 97 minutes.vnkotak wrote:Was stucked in one important meeting in office, so I entered the cinema hall almost 40 mins. after the start... thought I will make it before climax and understand some story... but got to know from friends that I missed the interesting bit in first half :) and the remaining part that I saw was actually boring for me... Totally agree - really winds me up when people cant get there on time and come in late squeezing along rows in the dark - its not hard to be on time

Re: Filth
To be fair, there are lots of reasons for why people can be delayed and up to a few minutes is fine but if I was more than 5 minutes late, I wouldn't even attempt to gain entry. 40 minutes is just ridiculous.

I don't see how you can miss so much of a film and get into the remainder - and with the 3/10 rating, this perhaps proves that theory! The Sparrow wrote:To be fair, there are lots of reasons for why people can be delayed and up to a few minutes is fine but if I was more than 5 minutes late, I wouldn't even attempt to gain entry. 40 minutes is just ridiculous.
Someone coming in late is no more disruptive to the other cinemagoers than someone popping to the toilet, but the latecomer surely can't enjoy the film!

Re: Filth
The difference is that the person popping to the toilet knows where there seat is. The (extremely) latecomer has to find one. Usually they stand in front of people blocking their view. Instead of letting their eyes become accustomed to the light to see where a free seat is.
