A compelling performance from Dench and nice supporting work from Coogan. I did not get as emotional as I expected to but was engaged by the story and characters throughout. 8/10.

Nice to meet biggins as well.

Saw this in Cineworld. Enjoyed so much more than expected. From the trailer I thought that Steve Coogan was her son, so a very different film for me than I had imagined.

Heartwarming, emotional and scary (that this happened).

Thought Judi Dench and Steve Coogan gave wonderful performances.
8.5/10 from me.

Saw this at Cineworld Edinbugh on Monday and got to meet Biggins, which was a lovely added bonus!

The story is very similar to that of the Lost Children of Francocism (same tragedies, but just taking place in Spain) and so I wasn't as shocked by the practices of the nuns as I could've been, Still a very powerful and emotional story with excellent performances by Dench and (surprisingly) Coogan. 8/10

Went to see this on Monday and it was much better than I expected it to be with two very decent performances from both Judi Dench & Steve Coogan.

There were a few, much appreciated, unexpected twists & I was surprised by how this film affected me emotionally, I expecting it to leave me feeling rather sad but instead I was left feeling angry more than anything else (much like Coogan's character).

Overall this was a very decent drama & it did more than enough to get an 8/10 from me...

Went to see this at Odeon Leicester on Sunday.

got there early, were the first ones to enter the screen, so sat in the premier seats, it only got about 25% full and then staff entered and told everybody who had sat in the premier seats that we weren't allowed with these free screenings. Everybody moved to the standard seats but by then alot of the best standard seats had been taken. As the premier seats were empty some late comers came and sat in them no problem for them, this has never happened before, has anyone else experienced this?

film was touching.

It's rare that I sit in the Premiere seats tbh but I did hear staff tell people not to sit in them on Thursday but it turned out to be a full house so obviously people had to sit there.

I've never heard it said before Thursday and can only think they are getting confused with scheduled bookings as the agencies p*y for the whole screen regardless of it having Premiere seats or not. Next time just sit in them and tell the staff they are wrong. A manager should be called if staff still argue the point.

That happened at the Tamworth Odeon's screening too. I'd never experienced that in all the years I've been attending.

Spoke to the manager at the Odeon Quay, Glasgow when I saw the film on Sunday.Seems that Odeon VIP members could book tickets (if they had enough points) for the film and they were allocated the Premier seats. Showfilmfirst b*ght the standard seats in the auditorium, hence the reason that if you had a Showfilmfirst voucher you could only sit in the cheap seats.
