Hey! Microsoft sharepoint is actually quite handy....! so I wouldn't call that cheeky... and some screenings you can have a pint and food and then talk more afterwards (about the film or microsoft  )

I like to go to the German screenings at the Goethe-Institut, they are part of the "Stammtisch", i.e. have a pint afterwards and a chat, but no-one ever holds you to that, you can just go home after the film. Then again, you just turn up as well, no signing up and applying.

Well if you can confidently walk in and look like you are supposed to be there then good luck! I can just imagine being stopped and getting stuck there all night as I wouldn't want to be rude!

If we all did go then we would have to set up a fmuker 'rescue package'. i.e. if we see a fellow fmuker being dragged into conversation on this then one of us has to interrupt and say that we need the person to discuss the finer points of microsoft sharepoint 2.0! We can then all make our escapes! No fmuker left behind!

I thought I might be brave enough to go but looking at the list of people going to the Manchester screening I've changed my mind, it seems to be a lot of people calling themselves consultants and executives which instantly makes me want to run a mile! (I'm sure that they are not really medical consultants)

Oh come on, we need someone to enter the lion's den! If you read the bumf, it says:

If you are unable to make the movie, but want to join us before for the Open Mic ask the expert or after for a SharePint, then please still sign up but please EVERYONE mention whether you are signing up for the Movie and or SharePint. Seats are allocated on a first come first served basis.

Which suggests to me you can just sign up for the film. It's a late starte in Manchester though.

Cunning plan, opas, but I'm not risking it. :D

I don't even know what sharepoint is  and we are very thin on the ground in Manchester, I've only heard of Yogi and Aff in Manchester and have no idea who there are! I'm basically a wimp!

Opas' cunning plan would only work in London!

My boyfriend is one of the 'experts' on the panel on the Teeside screening. If you decide to go make sure you ask some good questions! :)
