I'd hate him even if he played for Chelsea. You don't just BITE people!

Also what he did to Ghana in the last world cup was atrocious. I don't care how good he is, he's just terrible.

To be honest I'm surprised half the team hasn't handed in a transfer request.

Well done, Everton. I'm very pleased with today's result, and from the commentary it looks like Everton played exceptionally well.

C'mon caitlin --- none of us Arsenal supporters said "Well done, Stoke!" yesterday. Show a bit of restraint or you'll risk the wrath of the Gunners fans on here!

Caitlin is doing a Fergie. Everton and Arsenal are not far off the same size so its fair evens, but Stoke warrant a well done for destroying a team 50 times their size.

What an odd season, all the moneybags teams except Man City are at sea, its a freakish rarity. Anyway I came here to say well done Newcastle for dismantling Man Ure yesterday.
fav 5 films of the year - Tenet, Bill n Ted 3, Invisible Man, JoJo Rabbit, ?

More trouble in Brazil. Massive riot broke out 10 minutes into the match. Military helicopters had to land on the pitch and break it up with shotguns. It's a good job they're not hosting any big sports events in the next couple of years.

My husband obsesses about Arsenal too. Secretly I think he yearns to be a Gunner. That's my theory about anyone who obsesses about other teams... They secretly covet supporting that team.

BTW, wonder if RVP has really asked to be on the transfer list?

Trust me...they did. I got fully ripped into by my Arsenal friends, but I couldn't make a joke about their match without being called stupid (obviously these particular people weren't creative enough to give any sort of well thought out response and chose the personal putdown. People need to not dish it out if they can't take it. You won't see me replying to Chelsea taunts with "well...you're dumb!" (sadly a direct quote)).

(I should probably make it clear that I'm well aware my Arsenal friends are indeed assholes, and that I'm aware its nothing to do with Arsenal as a whole, and its definitely not why we are friends. They just get freakishly into it.)

I heard Everton did really well from reading the live match commentary, its only bad because Arsenal didn't 'smash them' like some people (those I mentioned above) claimed they would. I wasn't putting down Arsenal, I was praising Everton for holding their own, as they often tend to when playing the 'big' teams (their rivalry with Manchester United is one of my favourite parts of the sport. Did anyone else see the match a couple years ago where they came back from a 3-1 deficit in extra time to end the match 3-3? Brilliant.).

Of course I'm concerned with Arsenal...we're second! We also haven't played them in the league yet, which is going to prove interesting come Boxing Day (I think its Boxing Day...sometime later this month). I think we can win.

I think you need to find different friends, caitlin. If people called me dumb they certainly would be off my Xmas card list and that has nothing to do with football allegiances.

Everton is a tough team and I know many Arsenal fans are disappointed but I'll take the point. Some other teams haven't even managed to do that this year.
