Trust me, I know, Everton have been a thorn in our side for years. I tend to expect to lose to Everton. Good on them too for keeping that quality after the moss of Moyes and Fellaini.
Though maybe Fellaini should have stayed at Everton.

Well she thinks her Arsenal friends are 'assholes', so they obviously belong to some warped mutual appreciation societyejwrank wrote:I think you need to find different friends, caitlin. If people called me dumb they certainly would be off my Xmas card list and that has nothing to do with football allegiances.

Whoopsie... Mr SS's 'celebrating' his birthday today. Unfortunately for him, he chose to do it at White Hart Lane - not much of a celebration really. I could have told him that. Given it's his birthday, I won't say 'I told you so'.

At least Spurs qualified for the Europa league top of their group...

Apparently Fabio Capello is the odds-on favourite.MrD wrote:Things are going to be interesting at White Hart Lane - cant think who the next manager may be ?
I'm really not sure how I feel about that.

I dont think he would leave Russia before the World Cup and surely Tottenham wouldnt do a Chelsea (Benitez) and appoint an interim manager ?caitlinmorton wrote:Apparently Fabio Capello is the odds-on favourite.MrD wrote:Things are going to be interesting at White Hart Lane - cant think who the next manager may be ?

To be fair, had Rafa been a better manager (and about 5238747865378x nicer to Chelsea fans) we might have kept him.MrD wrote:I dont think he would leave Russia before the World Cup and surely Tottenham wouldnt do a Chelsea (Benitez) and appoint an interim manager ?caitlinmorton wrote:Apparently Fabio Capello is the odds-on favourite.MrD wrote:Things are going to be interesting at White Hart Lane - cant think who the next manager may be ?

I'm interested to see how this plays out, but given that Capello left England out of respect for John Terry, I don't see him leaving Russia so soon. He seems a loyal sort. Who else is available? Tottenham tend to have high-profile managers, we'll see if they keep with tradition.

But I don't think that Jose Mourinho has been all that kind to Chelsea fans with his latest retort (and really the animosity to Benitez was a long running grudge that could never be healed). Reported today:
When José Mourinho turned to the Crystal Palace supporters at full-time and applauded them, he was driven by more than Corinthian spirit. The travelling fans were magnificent, particularly as their team trailed twice, but the Chelsea manager does everything for a reason and it became obvious that something had needled him about the levels of support from the home crowd. "They are what they are," Mourinho said of the Chelsea fans. "For me, the most important thing is the passion you have. And our fans are very, very passionate about their club, sometimes more in the street than in the stadium, but it's their way of being. I never complain about that."
Wow --if that isn't a complaint, what is? If the manager of my team said something similar I don't think I'd appreciate that very much but wonder what Chelsea fans think.
