To be fair, had Rafa been a better manager (and about 5238747865378x nicer to Chelsea fans) we might have kept him.

I'm interested to see how this plays out, but given that Capello left England out of respect for John Terry, I don't see him leaving Russia so soon. He seems a loyal sort. Who else is available? Tottenham tend to have high-profile managers, we'll see if they keep with tradition.

But I don't think that Jose Mourinho has been all that kind to Chelsea fans with his latest retort (and really the animosity to Benitez was a long running grudge that could never be healed). Reported today:

When José Mourinho turned to the Crystal Palace supporters at full-time and applauded them, he was driven by more than Corinthian spirit. The travelling fans were magnificent, particularly as their team trailed twice, but the Chelsea manager does everything for a reason and it became obvious that something had needled him about the levels of support from the home crowd. "They are what they are," Mourinho said of the Chelsea fans. "For me, the most important thing is the passion you have. And our fans are very, very passionate about their club, sometimes more in the street than in the stadium, but it's their way of being. I never complain about that."

Wow --if that isn't a complaint, what is? If the manager of my team said something similar I don't think I'd appreciate that very much but wonder what Chelsea fans think.
I think sometimes Chelsea fans need a kick in the tail when they're in the stadium. The last time I went to a match, the people around me were behaving horribly. Basically an entire section yelling rude things at Fernando Torres because he didn't score a goal. He doesn't deserve that, and I felt horrible for him (but I have also offered him my unwavering support from the second he put on Chelsea colours, and am one of few to have done so. I quite liked him before that too, just not particularly the fact that he played for Liverpool. Rivalry, you see.). You could see it was hurting him and his performance, because he could hear them. Not acceptable behaviour.

Said kick in the tail has to be done right though. I think Mourinho is right, Chelsea fans do need to be better in the stadium. Benitez, on the other hand, said Chelsea fans were just jealous because he did so well at Liverpool, among other things. That's petty. There is a rivalry there, yes, but playing into that on the opposite side of the team you're meant to be the manager of isn't the way.

My thoughts on the matter anyway.

I do believe in miracles... Bendtner scored. I do have to see the goal for myself to REALLY believe, but all the sport websites say he did. Speechless.

That was such a weird injury. They played it over and over again on MOTD and I can't quite work out what happened.

That said something Joe Hart did during the City recap that didn't injure him at all would have probably put me in hospital if I did it so I guess you never can tell. Hope he gets better soon!

In other news FERNANDO TORRES CHELSEA'S #9!!!!! :D

The ManUre vs Scum match was the late kick off yesterday. When I looked at the score, it was 1-2, told OH. Bless him, he was all stressed for the remainder of the match. He said he was used to Spurs losing, that never stressed him out, but for them to be winning, was unusual. So he had to spend the remainder of the match praying that they didn't f**k it, hence stressing him out. o/

I remember when I first introduced him, many many many many moons ago, to a friend of mine. OH told him he supported Spurs. My friend, giving me his opinion on OH, said he admired a man who wasn't afraid to support a team that lost a lot!

Good result for the Gooners on Saturday. Enjoyed watching this in the pub with my Sister! :)

So just spoke to someone who used to support Arsenal and Chelsea, which I found odd. Last season, he changed it to Man City and Man Utd. I asked him, who do you support this season? He said he started off with Chelsea, then saw the number of players Spurs b*ght, so changed to Spurs, now he's changed back to Arsenal. Go figure.

Last night OH commented surely ManUre can beat 'SuperSunderland'... well apparently not. Seems the only team ManUre beat was us and as my neighbour said 'It had to be that b*stard, RVP who scored'.

One more (very important) match to go and I can have a stress free life again. Please Arsenal don't f&3k it up next week.

Doesn't really feel like a World Cup year. Are the stadiums ready yet?
