Not good to leave the food until so late but this has been the first dry day since???? Tried yesterday but the rain kept coming in off the sea every time we opened the ladder.

Too embarrassed to say what I ate yesterday
A very healthy dinner Baty and I'm sure that your embarrassing menu from Saturday can't have been worse than mine

Menu of the day:
Special K with berries - I know its not the healthiest but it was on offer  (330 calories)
6 Miltons crackers with mushroom pate followed by a Tesco light choices yoghurt (360 calories)
Belvita (220 calories) I know this is rubbish but I'm eating at the cinema
280 calories for when I get in.

Tomorrow's menu will be dire as I'm working 8 until 8 without a break so can only eat while driving so it will probably be Belvita all day  :nono: Self employed on a Tuesday but now have to go to a 4 hour NHS meeting mid afternoon (annoying as I don't work for them on a Tuesday - but it should be a one off) hence the no break situation as still have my private work to fit in.

Good luck everyone else today on the healthy regimes o/

Ok
I start with cornflakes and a cup of tea, will probably have the left over shepherds pie with some peas for dinner, going to cinema tonight so a little unsure about the last meal of the day.

Going to physio this morning for the foot. Went to see the works occupational health Doctor last week, thought he might say something along the lines of 'pull yourself together woman' but instead he thought I would be off for around another 3 to 4 months

The chair exercises did make me feel better in myself, at least I was doing something!!

Gosh that's a long time off work but ligaments do take ages to mend. Well done on the arm exercises they are hard work but you'll have lovely toned arms in no time but I imagine you have already with your fishing.

Its Special K for breakfast and then Belvita for the rest of the day - needs must. I've hurt a muscle in my back so a bit too painful to do much - Its an occupational hazard treating patients in bed but I'm sure with some specific exercises it will be ok in a few days :cross:

Have a fun day everyone.

Good morning everyone and we seem to be a bit thin on the ground here

Menu of the day:
Special K with berries (300 calories)
6 Milton crackers with caramelised onions hummous followed by mandarins and orange weight watchers jelly (370 calories)
Chicken saag with rice (360 calories) low calorie yoghurt (65 calories)

Back still painful but not as bad as it was so still exercise free - It made me feel sick when I twisted and walked but getting there now. Just saying this so that its not just laziness lack of exercise as has been the case.

Keep posting o/

I have been given an exercise to help stretch my calf as had terrific pain when walking, it was only small steps but ended up sitting down for almost an hour massaging the offending limb. Been told to use it but not abuse the foot :nono: I had to stand (with crutches)for quite a while at a funeral on tuesday, it was a big funeral and there was nowhere to sit. Couldn't get up stairs and folk older than me were on the only chairs. pa*d the price yesterday. Got another funeral tomorrow, that's my 3 done then.

Ok, today
tea and cornflakes

Moved the soup to later and used OHs dinky frying pan for pancakes -1 spoon of gluten free flour, 1 egg, a little milk and lemon juice to finish. Just a little splash of oil to cook. My first pancakes this year yum

veg soup with chilies and ginger (using up what ever veg is about to go off)

Chair exercises must be working occupational health person said I looked 'brighter'

Even though I don't go anymore, I do the Slimming World extra easy diet. Well me and my OH both do. I cant remember the last time I used a jar of sauce, we make everything from scratch now and most recipes are so quick and easy and taste much better too.

My current favourite is chicken, potato and spinach curry. The only extras are a tin of chop toms, some stock or water and 2 spoonfuls of curry powder. Simple as o/

I eat a lot of Ryvita's including their crackerbread version. I appreciate it tastes a bit cardboardy, but my friend told me about their cheese version. Its the same thing, but its got a slight cheese flavour to it and still only about 19 calories per slice. The best thing is, if you're hungry and fancy a nibble, you can eat one just on its own as its got flavour to it. I think they also do a pepper flavour. http://www.ryvita.co.uk/products/cracke ... wwoddXMAYQ

I couldn't find them in Tesco, but my friend said that Waitrose stock them. I wasn't aware of either except the original but now I am going to stock up on the cheese version.

P.S Just come back from water aerobics.... my legs do not feel like my own, I think I left them back in the pool!!

Oops, meant to post my weigh-day results earlier (yesterday) but got caught up in stuff!

I've managed to lose a pound this week. o/ Not a massive amount granted, but better than last week's gain!

I've taken up a new hobby which increases upper body exercise and reduces the opportunity for boredom induced snacking. Can you guess what it is? ..... No?.....Ok, I'll tell you!
....I've b*ght a clarinet and am teaching myself to play by looking at YouTube clarinet instruction video's!

It is absolutely impossible to eat and play at the same time ;) Genius! Huh!!

Anybody know of any good clarinet tunes? .....apart from the rather obvious "Stranger on the shore" :D

Sorry to hear that you've been in the wars Diane and Baty. Make sure that you take it easy until you are better. No strenuous exercise mind! :nono:

Well done on your weight loss Preston1990 that is brilliant :cheer: What a beautiful instrument to learn and sorry I have no idea re tunes.

Thanks for your kind words re our wars - It's Baty that deserves the sympathy as it sounds like a long job whereas mine is getting better quite quickly.

I'm having the same as yesterday to eat but OH's birthday today so having a Chinese tonight.

I might have a couple of old clarinet books in the loft..... I used to play myself when I was at school and I've still got it in the loft. I can have a look for you if you like
