Re: Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Loved it!
Was a bit slow in places, but raised a helluva lot of questions and some answers which has got me tingling with excitement for Avengers 2 now!
Definite improvement from the first film and he was significantly less patriotic than usual(perhaps Loki's sting at him in Dark World got back to him?
).
But I like this Cap'
8/10
and cant wait to see it again on monday! ^-^

Re: Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Entertaining, some good one liners and action and a dollop of politics as well. Interesting idea at the centre of the film, would anyone be totally shocked if that turned out to be true!
Felt a bit long, but that may just have been my general tiredness this week or it could have been from sitting through 30 minutes of Alex Zane before the film
Many thanks to everyone who offered me tickets, glad I got to see it, it was better than Thor 2, but still think Iron Man 3 is the one to beat 7.5/10

Re: Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Really enjoyed this last night at Milton Keynes Cineworld...about 70% full.
I thought the film was a cracker, and thoroughly enjoyed it.
First time I have been to a Premiere Preview.

Re: Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Omg someone was escorted out at Didsbury for recording and dealt with (not sure what that means
). One of the security men who also works with me apologised for the disturbance. I hadn't even noticed

Re: Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Well I just about b*y all that......but come on - a magic shield???? Hahaha.
Having missed out on the Captain America 1 previews last year I had no idea what to expect with this. I was pleasantly surprised. Good clean fun albeit with a liitle over-kill (literally!) with the carnage.
Not sure that the 3D actually did anything though.
Slightly pre-occupied with Paul Redford (I can never remember which one is which, except that one is dead)'s hair!
How strange that we had a wee announcement in Edinburgh tonight welcoming us to the premiere and warning us to switch off everything - except our life-supports. I'm sure the premiere was last Thursday - I was even there!
About that premiere last Thursday - how early did they start the movie at Glasgow IMAX? The ticket said 7.30. I was there at 7.30 and when I got seated the movie was already going. My estimate based on tonight was that it was about 15 minutes in. Because I was made to sit in Row A of an IMAX screen, and this being totally worthless, I left straight away and was in the car leaving the carpark at 7.35pm. No way could this have started at 7.30!
Curious to know how come if he borrowed the period Captain America costume from the museum which was likely to be a replica, the model shield turned out to be magic like his real one?
Kinda preferred Chris Evans when he was in Big Breakfast. Quite like the lack of ginger hair and thick framed glasses though!
Would love to see this properly on a proper IMAX screen.
Might try to catch it again.
