Sorry about getting the lurgy Moggers - my lurgy is taking forever to go away and really naffing me off now as I really really need to exercise but get breathless if I walk too quick.
stone_monkey wrote:Hey ho everyone....

I hope your all having a great weekend. Well I did my weigh-in today......not good.......2 1/2 pounds gained.........ooops. 8O
It wasn't really that much of a shock though. I hadn't done any exercise for 6 days which I need to do to maintain a weight or lose weight. I had also eaten lots of bread over the last couple of days (it was fresh homemade wholemeal - yum yum) I also had copious amounts to drink prior to heading to the gym yesterday which was an after thought on the day. I have been resting my foot trying to speed up recovery so did very little exercise - no luck so far. Next friday my target is 13 1/2 st - ha ha fat chance as I'm 14 st today :D :D   :D :D :wall: :wall: :wall: I wonder if hitting my head of a wall will make me lose weight

I hope everybody else is having more joy :D :D - good luck o/ o/
If the hitting on the head works just let me know as I will be following suit. We have the FMUK meet up in 3 weeks so need to drop half a stone by then as have a noticeable chubby face and MrGlass might shout at me :crying: Hope that your foot is improving stone_monkety and Baty :cross:

Menu of the day:
Milkshake with raspberries and a banana (300 calories)
Brushetta for lunch (300 calories as having loads) with a big salad
Mushroom stroganoff (300 calories)

And as for exercise I will have to just do what a can as lots of toning exercises that I can do with the sniffing Nicole from Smart people so I can replace the sniff with a cough

How is everyone doing on the healthy eating and exercise front? I have still not recovered from the Morocco trip and have now lost my voice completely much to the delight of the Manchester FMUKers - r33ceh said that I sound like a squeaking mouse and that Steve suggested that it was all my bossing around  :giggle: As I am still having pains in my lungs and my temperature won't come down I have succumbed and am actually going to the doctors today 8O I absolutely hate going but running out of ideas of how I can self help. Lets get motivated again and as soon as I'm sorted I will be back to doing the exercise. I'm on AL today and going out for a healthy lunch - was meant to be for a chat as well but that won't be happening

Well I'm very sorry to hear you are still not well but hope that the trip to the doctor's will improve matters and you will soon be fighting fit and able to keep the Manchester contingent in order. Lord knows they need you to do that! How about a John Lewis cake after that healthy lunch? I feel quite sure that cake will have curative values.

Last week I started on a low sugar diet and getting back into DDP Yoga after stopped for a few months. I'm also keeping a blog on it just to keep myself motivated, and almost accountable for the stuff I'm doing and hopefully, so I don't slack off. I've done well and lost 7 pounds so far, but there's still a way for me to go before I even start being happy with my weight.

Will be back on the 'waggon' next week. That's after the family dinner on sunday, have a leg of lamb to use up.

My exercise schedule has been totally disrupted by
a. OH and his need to re-organise his kitchen and his desire to decorate???? ?
b. New painkillers upped this week and they make me loose the plot at the drop of a .....thingy

Taken to writing everything down that is important.
Have a good weekend everyone

Howdy everyone,

I hope you are all doing well with weight loss, exercise or recovery as may be the case. :D :D

I discovered that smashing my head off a wall hasn't helped me loss weight - thats another two pound gain this week  maybe i need to smash my head at a higher frequency or just a bit harder :wall: :wall: So I'm again officially overweight and out of the healthy BMI range - that was short lived - 14 days :tears:

I was rather gutted at this weeks gain as I have put in a minimum of 1 1/2 hours of exercise each day for the last 7 days. Although it may have been at a lower intensity as usual to aid recovery of my foot - i should have had a different result 8O

Good news my foot is on the mend and i have two different rubs to try to aid its full recovery fast. o/ o/ Like a few others I thought I was coming down with a cold but after medicating for a couple of days it seems to have lifted - amazing as it used to take many weeks when I was a smoker o/ o/

Took a trip to Caffe Nero today and tried there Cappuccino cake - it was lush o/ o/ definitely worth a try if your passing.

Well I hope everyone has a great weekend and super duper week ahead :D :D

Bye for now,

M :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Thanks so much for your kind words ejwrank and the doctor certainly did get the ball rolling she made me give samples of everything and then was sent off to the hospital for a chest xray and blood samples with suspected Legionnaires 8O I have been trying to play it down but I am in a lot of pain with my lungs and been struggling to keep my temperature down for the last couple of weeks so now that I'm on my antibiotics (only my 4th lot in my life  ) I will be back to normal in no time (well normal for me and I think the only reason I'm still on my feet is because I normally have so much energy and I'm fighting fit).

Sorry about the weight gain but you have been poorly and have the sore foot as well. I am certainly on the edge re healthy weight as a few more pounds and I'll be overweight again  :noo:

Do you know it's sad as my eyes were instantly drawn to the bit about Cappucino cake

Well done on the 7lb weight loss that is just brilliant o/ Would love to read your blog as I too find that writing it down really does help. What is DDP yoga?

Thanks! I've got my fingers crossed that the weight loss will continue and I won't stall too soon. I've got my food blog up here.
DDP Yoga is a type of yoga developed by professional wrestler Diamond Dallas Page. It combines yoga with resistance training and various other types of workouts, but it's low impact so you can do it at any stage of fitness or weight and has one of the most inspirational stories attached to it I've ever seen - Arthur's Transformation. Just in general though, as a wrestling fan anyway, it's insane the sheer number of retired wrestlers who had destroyed their bodies over the years who have done DDP Yoga and rebuilt their bodies and look so much better in general, one of the best things I can recommend for anyone trying to start working out and hasn't for an extremely long time.

Oh Diane, hope the antibiotics kicked in for you, I too have this awful thing and finally relented to get antibiotics as I had the cold/hot shivery you have reached infected feeling that I get if something takes hold. Only gave up weights and core on Tuesday as I just couldn't physically do them. End of financial year so no option to stat off an recouperate either!

Well done everyone with getting and staying on that wagon! Hopefully I'll be joining you shortly xx

Hi folks I hope peeps are well or on the mend :D

my update, well you could call it a down date. I have been hard at study all week so decision to ditch the gym and cooking from scratch probably hasn't pa*d off. I've sat around and ate junk all week as it takes no time to prep and gives me more time to study - as with exercise, none rone but lots of study and three great movies.

so, it'll be back to the gym on monday and back to cooking from scratch again as my deadline is tomorrow midnight for my next assessment :D

I hate to think what my weight will be next friday but I'm not to bothered under the circumstances. If I get my assessment done thats all that matters :D

so, everyone have a good week. Got another three films this week so goody goody. o/

bye for now and everyone stay safe :D
