I hope you'll all have fun tonight - sadly I can't make it due to illness.

No ID check in Glasgow but all phones had to be handed in. Nuisance! A bit heavy on the security front prior to film checking in phones then asking to see in your bag. Chaos with 3D glasses as they were perched on seats along with Spidey masks and bottle of water. Problems occurred when some glasses disappeared as folk obviously tried for a set. Eventually all empty seats had their glasses removed and they were then issued as folk came in. . . . all this before we even got to the red carpet footage! I'll review film later.
Preferred cinemas: Best: Glasgow Quay, Glasgow Braehead, Glasgow Renfield Street, Glasgow Fort & Paisley
Others I'd go to: Glasgow Showcase Baillieston

Amazing. I left the cinema with the same spring in my step I remember from the dim and distant past when leaving a Bond or Indy film.

Andrew Garfield is great, cocky, funny and heroic. I don't know how it ranks amongst other superhero movies, but I guess that's missing the point - I loved it at the time and felt like a big kid watching it 9/10 o/

Yes I'D check and mobile phones taken at Greenwich. I really enjoyed the film, which I was informed ran for 2 hours 20 mins. Long time for wearing 3d glasses but I did enjoy quite a lot of the special effects. Could happily watch this again but maybe on dvd so I can pause and give my eyes a rest.
Would definitely recommend watching at the cinema for the first watch but not sure if the 2d version would be a more pleasant experience.

Rather enjoyed this!
Only criticism is that it feels like Part 2 of a say 8 part series. Rather like an elongated TV show. Might have been better if it was more of a stand-alone. Took ages before anything happened whatsoever.
3D was great though - same as Part 1 - lots of Spiderman flying out of the screen and flying between buildings. Quite a few rushed bits and plenty of plot holes too, but hey - it IS Marvel!
Really don't like the Andy Murray look-a-like that is Andrew Garfield. His acting ability is hammier than a hammy thing. Noticed his crappy American accent drop a few times too.
What was with the Spiderman cardboard masks that we were given? Bit pointless unless you are 5. Liked the Spidey glasses though. And Spidey water!

Word to the wise.....there is no - NO - post credits Marvel trailer. That's 10 minutes of my life I'll never see again. Felt a right plum - virtually the only person left sitting in the cinema!

Good clean fun. No blood, sweary-words or gore.

A cool 6/10.

Most annoying thing:
Its a Marvel movie with no closing credit scene. This doesn't happen often but it means there's no need to wait, just leave when the credits start.

I've also noticed that Stan Lee's appearances are becoming a bit more vocal. If you missed him, he's at the graduation ceremony near the start of the movie.

Who's Stan Lee?
He's only the guy who created the Marvel Universe, and he's showing his age.
No ID checks in Manchester, but they were taking your phones if they found them :shifty: very quick for a change at giving phones back after the film though.

I loved this film, loved the effects, especially Spiderman flying scenes. One of my favourite films of the year 9/10 from me, would like to see again in 2D though to see the difference. Glasses were a nice touch, for once I remembered to take my own glasses but couldnt resist the Spiderman glasses, but we all seemed to get the same ones so not sure what the others were like, ours were the blue Electro ones. We got free water in Manchester, but just Evian, at least we had sound for the footage before the film for a change.

A few plot holes, but hey it was entertaining so who cares.

I agree re Stan Lee's parts getting more vocal, I have noticed this over the last few films, yes he is looking his age, just googled him and he's 91 8O

We were reliably informed by cinema staff before the film started that there was definitely no spoiler footage after the credits so everyone seemed to promptly leave after the film, glad to see that was the case as I would have hated to miss a spoiler.

The glasses were cool but farr too big for me, had to watch with one hand holding them in place! Left our phones at home, less hassle.

Loved this but I am a spidey fan, i've not seen the first one so kept comparing with the Tobey Maguire films. Andrew Garfield done a great job! (Its the suit & all that flying!)...... My mum fell asleep and started snoring!! But said she enjoyed the film lol. If you had a sun ticket then you got your picture taken with the spidey cardboard cut out, and given a card with the link to download the photo. 9/10 o/

Edit: have to p*y for the pics....13p each
