Well done asamaic on getting through the wedding and as you say it must have been pretty emotional for yourself. It's a true sign of being in the zone after just one day of overeating you are ready to get back on track so well done.

John Milton brilliant exercise regime o/

Worries over I had a millionaires shortbread at Althorp yesterday and was shocked that you were given a plastic fork 8O I'm not a snob or think I'm above a plastic fork but for goodness sake it was at the Spencer's home plus on a more serious note my plastic fork broke while cutting through my shortbread :noo: so had to eat it with my hands so ending up a bit messy even with a napkin - I take it that I will never be one of those refined ladies

Just had a raspberry and banana milkshake for breakfast and about to mow the lawn so that is a bit of exercise - I keep on stopping and starting this healthy regime but need some serious nagging as I'm getting worse by the day.

Right you go, Ms Diane. Get yourself out to the garden and haul out that lawnmower. We want to see 20 press ups on that newly cut lawn and then a quick jog around the block. Crack the whip. And no more shortbread and plastic forks -- what were they thinking of at Althorp??? Strict enough for you?

Poor Charles Spencer

I've heard tell that the popular 9th Earl Spencer lost Althorp's traditional cutlery in a series of bitterly fought divorce settlements. Today he and his latest wife Karen are believed to be setting money aside each week from the not inconsiderable entrance fees to the Hall in an attempt to replace the originals.

http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/p ... 011792.htm

Of course this story is just merely hearsay, and I cannot obviously comment on the truth or accuracy, or otherwise, of it.

Revenues at Althorp Hall are however expected to fall significantly this year, due to both the removal of the famed Emanuelle's dress from display, and the closure of the Diana exhibition at the end of last season. Presumably this is the reason why an obviously embarrassed Charles will have offered such a lowly raspberry and banana milkshake breakfast to Diane, rather than the more traditional Eggs Benedict or Kedgeree - much loved by the English aristocracy. How kind of Diane to overlook this slight and cut his lawn for him nonetheless. :D

:rofl2: I hadn't realised that when I had my Eggs Benedict with Jeanelle at her hotel last month that that was my true calling as an English aristocrat and now ended as part of the staff mowing the lawn at the estate.

That was harsh but much needed o/ Now once again trying to get into the swing of things and as I'm not working this morning got plenty of time to do my exercise DVD plus make some hearty vegetable soup with carrots, swede, parsnips and onions (basically a stew pack from Tesco) with half a ciabatta bread so should come in at under 300 calories followed by some fresh pineapple.
Had fruit and fibre for breakfast and it will be a panini tonight with tons of salad and piri piri chicken and sweet chilli sauce (400 calories) followed by a Tesco light choices yoghurt. It is the eating between meals which is my downfall at the moment but have to stop it as otherwise this healthy regime will be a waste of time.

Back to the pre-wedding weight. o/

I have a new shiny gym card and an induction booked for after work. Thoroughly scared. :(

How's everyone else getting on?

Hey Asamaic, well done on shedding that wedding bash Induced weight so quickly o/

Best of luck with the gym induction session. No need to worry about it though, I'm sure that you'll be fine. ;)

Weigh-day for me tomorrow, and haven't been being very good foodwise and have done nothing exercisewise either so I'm not expecting great results. We'll see :nono:

Thanks, Diane! Nice to be back in the swing of things! After three days of weights in a row and a long walk with the dog last night, I'm giving myself the evening off before getting cracking again tomorrow night.

My food intake has been "ok" but I've only got 4 of my 5 a day today, when I'm aiming for 8-10 a day at the moment.

Currently struggling to stay away from Doritos though...

Well, you were right, Preston1990, I was absolutely terrified, but the trainer was wonderful and the fear has mostly dissipated. I am so glad I didn't run away. Feeling ridiculously proud of myself - I know going to the gym is normal for many people, but it was such a big step for me! o/

Good luck with the weigh in tomorrow. :cross:

Your regime sounds great, John Milton. Nothing wrong with a rest day - I sympathise re the Doritos. I keep little bags of the under 100 calorie Walkers range in, because they're not too bad and I find help manage cravings. Not as yummy as Kettle Chips or Doritos, but it's a compromise.

I've just been weighed and went to update my chart thing. Realised from the dates that there was a week "missing" :shifty: I had apparently forgotten to get weighed at all last week. :wall:

Nevertheless, I'm ridiculously pleased (and surprised) with the result, as I am 3 pounds less than I was on 24th April.

I'm so pleased to hear that your gym visit went well asamaic :D I bet you're really looking forward to your next session now :D

Sounds like you are getting plenty of weight training in now John Milton o/ , take it easy on those little crunchy triangles though :nono:
