But quite hard to deal with the remains without making a mess, I'd think.

Sorry but I didn't get it! I dont believe that someone put up the money to make a comedy without laughs and a feel good film that left me feeling anything but good! Thank goodness I didn't p*y yo see it.

Re: Chef
underwhelmed.
Jon F wrote, starred & directed this piece of wish fulfilling nonsense. complete with busty sex-fantasy latina & good truck food for a fat shlub. there are too many miles between fine dining & truck cooking for me to be impressed. a friend called it a riches to rags story. started off well with some fantastic cooking scenes but then rolled downhill in a grease truck therefafter. lots of cameos that added not a lot to the story. just not funny enough.
5/10 (points for music - esp for the audacity to do sexual healing with trumpets!)

Re: Chef
Saw this in Bristol last night... it was OK. Pleasant enough, but not particularly funny or dramatic, which meant it felt quite long. And who gets excited about Cuban food? It's a cheese and ham sandwich, ffs. A nice one, I'm sure, but come on. I wouldn't p*y to see it.
Minor quibble: his 10-year-old son displayed excellent spelling and grammar in all his tweets, which is commendable but a little unlikely.
(Also, it would have been nice if the cinema could have turned the lights off.)

Re: Chef
Despite being marketed as a comedy, I didn't find myself laughing very often during this film. However, I relished the foodie aspect of it (from the high-end restaurant to the Cuban sandwiches) which made me hungry just by looking at the screen. I didn't think Twitter was the sponsor of the film as other social media was used as well - but I did find the tweeting cartoon bird out of place. In all though, it was a cheesy but feel-good story, with great music and mouth-watering food. 7/10
The Q&A with Jon Favreau on Sunday was pretty rubbish with attendees more interested in showing off how knowledgeable they were and what their thoughts on his work were rather than asking him a good question.
