Re: Football
Enjoyed watching this game but such a shame Brazil did not score who I was expecting to win. Did not expect Mexico to be as tough as they were so well done to them.tilly wrote:Brazil v Mexico now , wonder how many goals Brazil will score.

Re: Football
I think Brazil are going to be a let down. To be honest the only two teams that have stood out are Germany and Holland and even they had a helping hand (with the Portugal sending off and the Spanish for some reason giving up after the 2nd goal and a poor keeper). Everyone else much of a likeness including England. Probably a little early to pick a winner to be honest !

I was expecting England to lose 2-0 so the Rooney goal was a bonus.

Re: Football
That's that then....the only consolation MAYBE that all of the remaining games in our group are LIVE (meaningful) games and will mean something
Lets see best case scenario
Italy beat Costa Rica today
then :
Uruguay will need to beat Italy to have a chance of going through. Costa Rica will need to beat England to have a chance of going through . England will need to beat Costa Rica to have any chance
Worst case scenario - Italy are the sort of team who will draw with Costa Rica (the draw specialists of world cup football and they only recently drew with Luxembourg !!). Then we are out...

Re: Football
Yep agree - especially the 2nd half. Still cant see them winning it though. I do have to say that no one has really stood out as an EXCEPTIONAL all round team yet

Re: Football
Luis Suarez!!!! This guy on the radio said he was frustrated and no one could know the frustration/emotions he was feeling on the pitch. Sometimes I get angry too, but I don't bite people.
As someone on Sky News said, if you own a dog and it's bitten your child three times, you put it down.
Just in case you missed it, his teeth look like -->

Very unprofessional and as Ian Wight said yesterday I don't think he is right in the head.Sunny Saver wrote:Luis Suarez!!!! This guy on the radio said he was frustrated and no one could know the frustration/emotions he was feeling on the pitch. Sometimes I get angry too, but I don't bite people.
